These worked great for a week. I loved how bright they were and we were saving energy.
Then all the sudden last night we smelled what seemed to be an electrical fire coming from these lights. We removed them and they seemed to be extremely hot. This was scary. Imagine if it would of been like that all night. We could of had a fire. So I am throwing away the bulbs and the fixture. I am not sure which one a used this but my family’s safety is not something I will gamble with.
Although it was easy to install, fit well, and worked fine for about 3 months, it recently started to flicker and intermittently turn out on its own. LED lighting should last years, not months.
I am disappointed in this purchase. Today, I replaced with a different light from a trusted brand, and had with no problems, so the issue is not with my fixture; it's with this lightbulb. I would like to return this item and need to look into Amazon's policies for accepting returns beyond a 90 day window.
I would have gladly paid more if the bulb was reliable and I could have avoided the headache.
This is the worst product ever. Apparently they are “energy saving” which means they just randomly shut off. Which totally defeats the purpose of a light bulb. If I wanted the light to go off I would hit the switch to off. These are a total waste of money. I use them for accent lighting underneath my kitchen cabinet. I have 4 separate lights. They turn off randomly then turn back on randomly. I can’t even make them sync which is really annoying. On top of that the light shines yellowish green onto my kitchen floor. It literally looks like on of my dogs peed. I honestly don’t understand this product. Just dumb.
I had to return these as what I got we're not "dual ended" tubes as advertised. The tubes I got were single end. The difference in single vs dual ended is where the black (load) and white (neutral) wiring needs to be connected to the tubes. I did not want to rewire the fixture after doing the wiring based on dual ended wiring on the tubes.
I was hoping to contact the seller directly, but I can’t find that option. I installed these while doing some house work yesterday and one of the lamps started to generate a burnt plastic smell. Once pulled from the lighting unit I found a loose component within the lamp. Hopefully my experience is a fluke, but the price point and the product don’t really meet. QC May be an issue.
I usually do not write reviews. In most cases I have done a lot of research and am very happy with a selection. In this case I failed. These bulb are nothing more than LED light strips embedded into a clear tube that fits the fixture.
Something about the way they are made makes them feel washed out. I also feel the lumens are are a lot less than what I expected from the description. My closet now feels like a dreary subway tunnel!
