I liked the price as I only needed one door controlled. My husband installed the controller and the actual software. The time profile and other information and videos took a little searching for but were helpful. The only problem is you have to go to the comment section of this product in order to find some information. There was a particular code that could only be found in the comment section, which was not a good experience. I was able to contact tech support prior for other issues, but for the code issue, Amazon could not help me. Again, thank goodness it was in the comment/question section. My real dislike of this product stems from when I needed to install this program on another laptop. My husband downloaded this as a file and imported it from the old laptop and downloaded on my new one. The majority of the information was correct, but the dates were off. I then had to add the time profiles and allow access privileges and upload all over again. My concern is that the program is running on both laptops and not synchronizing. I am concerned that the information on the old laptop will trump the new information. I do not understand why the information was not automatically synced and updated when the controller was added to the internet on the new laptop. If there is an easier way to facilitate the move of the program from one laptop to another, I would love to know it. The software is clunky and seems outdated. Is there even a way to receive updates?
If you follow the instructions and have patience (which I lack) install is easy, and software is reasonably intuitive. Keyfobs register very quickly, and i have only had one dead keyfob so far.
The reason for this review however, is how great the support was for the product. i emailed a question about the software troubleshooting i was having, and within 15min i had a response and used teamviewer to have someone remote into my PC and fixed the problem in one step. Awesome.
Works great, can be openned by card or by schedule. Exactly how I wanted, easy to setup, shows up automatically on the software that comes with it after connected on network. Easy to add and remove users. The costumer service is very fast to help with techinical questions. I have 3 locks with individual boards on the same software, that can all be programmed at once. AAA+++
the system was easy to install. After my initial rough-in the whole thing sat idle for several months until I finished the fence and gate. My software evaluation period expired and I emailed for help. I received a clear answer within a few hours. Good Product, great service - recommend to anyone.
Competing systems are much more expensive. We are not locksmiths but pretty handy with tools. We installed this system ourselves. Hardest part was modifying the door frame for the strike and running a Cat6 cable to the card reader and lock. We used a drill for two holes in the door frame, a jigsaw to cut our aluminum frame and a dremel tool to smooth the edges. As seller suggests I highly recommend reviewing all documentation and videos he provides first. Then set up the system on a table top to identify your Cat6 strands and get a feel for the software. I sent him 3 emails with questions and due to the time difference, his answer was in my in-box when I arrived for work in the morning. The system works very well.
I highly recommend this Access Control Kit for any home or business needs. The kit includes everything needed to install and have a functioning door controlled by Key Fob access. It even included over 50 key fobs. We had a professional install for us but the tech support gives you all the directions you need to do on your own. It works perfect and the access control system on the computer is easy to use! The best part has to be the tech support that comes with it FOR LIFE! Chen is awesome and always has quick response and solution. Every time I have reached out to support he was immediately able to assist me and resolve anything that is needed. For home doors or office building, this key access control is 100% the way to go. You will not be disappointed.
Installation on this system was surprisingly straightforward and relatively easy; ample instructions are provided and as long as you read through them prior to starting, the install will go very smoothly. The system works exactly as described; we installed it on one door, assigned key fobs, programmed access using the downloaded software, and everything works perfectly. Customer service is above and beyond; I emailed a few questions and received answers within 24 hours. I would feel very confident in purchasing from this supplier in the future.
Installation was simple and relatively easy to program as a stand alone system. Download the instructions that are provided and as long as you read through them prior to starting. The system works exactly as described; we installed it on one door, activated key fobs, programmed with the software, and everything works perfectly. Customer service is above and beyond. Chen is awesome, I emailed a few questions because I was having an issue with uploading more key fobs and received answers within an hour. I would definitely buy again because of the customer/tech support, amazing !
I don't know how anyone is utilizing this hardware because the software required to use it won't load after the "evaluation period" is over. There is absolutely no documentation that this is some kind of evaluation and no information on how to get a registration code. Why would the software required to USE the hardware be an evaluation? Do you have to register to use the software for your printer? Totally absurd. This has made it impossible to add new keyfobs to my system.
