Good for the price. Cant push all that much pressure with out it sounding broken. Glad inread the reviews. Definitely do not get who thinks this thing is painful. I cant get enough from it. Im 5 foot and 110 lbs. not painful at all. It works really well on certain parts and works on other than back body parts. Like arms legs hips. Dont get this deep massager if your not able to take deep massage. Thats how to solve the pain issue.
After using this a few times, my wife decided that the massager was just not for her. I discovered that the return time frame had expired but the manufacturer reached out to me and went above and beyond to refund our money. The massager may not have been what my wife needed, but the company has my admiration.
I bought this to relieve neck and shoulder pain that I've had for 3+ months or so.. at first, i loved it. It felt amazing and even gave me goosebumps! But after unresolved neck issues, i realized it was hurting more than helping. The pressure needed to hold it in place ended up making me stay tense instead of relaxing. After using it, the next day my neck would feel worse. But i kept using it. Had a real massage three days ago and WOW what a difference. I wish i hadnt missed the refund window or i would've returned it to pay for my next one. I don't doubt it helps some people, just not me.
It will only work on your upper neck , right at the base of your skull! you can turn it, spin it, flip it but it still only works in that small area! It will work on your feet , legs and back if you have a high pain tolerance! The massagers are hard plastic and they are the same on all of these types of massagers. If you are looking for something that will work on your Lower neck and shoulders these are not what you want. I purchased this pretty well knowing these things but it works well for my wife’s neck problems! Absolutely no need to put your wrists In The slings if you are sitting in a high backed chair you’ll figure that out reallllly quick!
It's okay. I think a bigger person and/or one who likes a powerful massage will like it better. Cons for me: it is bulky, heavy, and hard to handle. For me, that heaviness pulls it away from my neck rather than helping it to sit on my neck. The controls are on the outside where I cannot easy see or use them either for turning on or adjusting. I have to hit the heat button three times before the red lights come on. I'm not sure what pushing that button the first few times even does. I also have to crane my neck to see if the red lights (indicating heating I assume) have come on. Since I am using this for a sore neck, having to crane my neck to see the buttons and the red lights is particularly aggravating. The heat takes a while to build up and never reached the level I would like. The massage balls do squeeze in on the neck which is nice, but they are a bit too powerful for me.
I am going to give this to my son who is bigger and likes a powerful massage.
I would like it if the nubs were more padded, and it could be chargeable and not have to use this extremely short cord... Also the mesh is extremely scratchy so it leaves your skin burning a bit, the heat makes that a bit worse. It will not work if you have extremely tense muscles like I have rock hard shoulders, not in a good way, they're just very stiff, and this barely touches them, but my husband has found some relief for his shoulders. My kids like to use it too, but they have all had the same complaints, the mesh is scratchy, the cord is too short, etc... It's okay if you're on a budget and just need something for after a long work day, but those of us with stone muscles have to get percussive massagers I think...
This is a well-made product. It's beautifully design high quality however the downside is it heavy hard to use especially if you're a woman and slender. I used it the first day it felt great but it threw my back into all kinds of issues for the next 5 weeks. So if you have issues with your back already compressed disc shoulder issues I would suggest if you don't buy this item. If your backs in great shape and you want something just to give you a good workout and you're a guy this is perfect.
Usage too restrictive since it is corded. The locations I would use this are not convenient for plugging in. This is NOT a cordless device. Having an extension cord is a pain. Functionality is good for the price. I had a brookstone version that was about $200. It did a better job and was chargeable. It was used heavily by my whole family for 3 years until fabric finally got a whole in it. If these massagers were of comparable pricing, I would have given this 1 star. I think for the price point though, it is a good option for people that can make the plug in requirement work. I returned it though and have purchased another brookstone.
I bought this after using a similar product at a friend's house. Suffering from tension headaches due to neck and upper back strain, these products can really help.
Unfortunately, I feel this particular model suffers from somewhat weaker motors. Pulling on the device to apply more pressure, you can really hear the motors strain, and they eventually stop and reverse direction. I don't remember this problem with the other model my friend had.
If they had stronger motors, I would easily give this product a 5/5.
