It's an okay diaper. I am truely at a loss here. The huggies were great for staying on BUT had hard lumps inside it (size 4) Now this these papers ones, the tabs that you close come open really easily. Does no decent size 4 diaper exist? It seems like in every brand there is always something wrong with this size. I will keep searching... and would also prefer a diaper that is not scented. Babies don't need scented diapers. I feel like as time goes on diaper companies are getting continuously cheaper with the diapers and charging more for them..
We use Swaddlers for regular and overnight diapers. The old design had characters wearing night-hats for the nighttime diapers. This new design is VERY hard to tell quickly which is 'daytime' and which is 'nighttime'. The daytime diapers even have characters with closed eyes! The mistake costs us leaks overnight, which leads to more laundry.
After waiting until our new shipments (and labeling the bags), I THINK the difference is that the nighttime have a purple background, while daytime have a white background -- but again - very hard to tell quickly which is which with a squirmy toddler!
That being said, I haven't had the issues others have with diapers falling apart or leaking. They do feel slightly thinner - but I kind of like that! They aren't as bulky under clothes, and my son can run around a little easier with less 'waddle'.
Our newborn wore the size 0 and size 1 diapers because they were already purchased and we didn't want to waste them but he leaked through almost every diaper. We switched to Costco's Kirkland brand (same size) and he has had no issues with leaking since. With a newborn you're tired enough, you don't want to be changing multiple outfits and bed sheets throughout the night due to your baby peeing on themselves because of leaks. Also, the wetness indicater didn't always turn blue like it's supposed to on these diapers. The Pro for these diapers is that it doesn't seem to irritate sensitive skin which is nice.
I like the smell of Pampers more than other brands but once my daughter moved out of the 1 size she has had nothing but blow outs with every poop. Urine is fine and I can barely smell when she goes but the poos we're leaking out the leg holes and up and out the back (sometimes front). They would leak even when she didn't go much. We used Pampers swaddlers with my first daughter (6 years old now) from birth til she potty trained (she was tiny and I think she stopped at size 4s) but these seem different so we switched to Huggies Little Snugglers and prefer though. No more leaks.
We used these because the hospital where we delivered used them on our baby. No problems with it, baby was fine in them with hardly any blowouts (yet!). Then we finally upgraded from newborn to size 1s. The first box was fine but the 2nd box we got felt weird -- thinner and fake. I'm not sure if they were but my baby also got diaper rash, which was the first time ever. Maybe a big coincidence now I have concerns around buying them from amazon.
Been using swaddlers since she was born and have these ob subscribe but I noticed since my last two orders that I have to change her sheets every single morning! Even if I change her three times a night which I shouldn’t have to do given the 12 hour gaurentee or whatever... changed her at 3:30AM by 5:30AM she is screaming crying soaked up her back with pee. So sad and really messing up both our sleep. I noticed if she flips on her tummy it doesn’t happen as easily because for some odd reason there is no padding in the back at all only on the bottom and in the front???? Very disappointing.
I like pampers swaddlers! They don't give my kids diaper rash, and they don't smell as strong as other brands I've tried. If just on quality, I'd give it at least 4 stars. (One off because it's super annoying when one of the side tabs rip off a brand new diaper. Doesn't happen real often, but when it does, it tends to happen with several in that box.) I have to take off another star, however, because they are really expensive and having bad supply issues! Don't know what's going on with Pampers, but they can't seem to meet the supply and demand standards that you'd expect if a company this size. They're constantly "not currently available" or not sure they will be available for your Subscribe & Save order. Very frustrating, as that's really not something you want to run out of!
Came in a day. Was faithfully using huggies, but I needed diapers fast as we were running out and these only took a day to arrive. My son had an allergic reaction to something, which coincidentally was around the same time I started using these. He’s never had a reaction to diapers before, but he has been very itchy and rashy on his lower stomach. Pampers also doesn’t have the extra lining on the back like huggies so it is just a matter of time before he has a blow out and ruins an outfit. I switched back to huggies and his rash went away.
