Bought this in hope of getting a brighter bulb as my current bulb has several hundred hours on it but still works.

When I installed it I saw that this bulb is actually dimmer than my old bulb. Found that BH Photo has the genuine Epson bulb and it costs less than this one. Returning and buying the Epson bulb.

After my projector went out I bought this bulb. After installing, and powering on the projector, the bulb immediately exploded.
You can see from the photos I have included, there are shards of glass everywhere. There is nothing wrong with my projector and a borrowed bulb from a different projector worked just fine. This bulb obviously had an issue. Biggest waste of $100 and rush shipping that I have ever done. If you want to waste your money, go with this bulb. If you don't want the bulb exploding on you, go with a different company.

My one year old office Epson model is specifically listed on their compatibility list but guess what? Installed, reinstalled... power on, off, on, off... take it out - reinstall it... NOTHING. Doesn't work so hope you have better luck than I did.

I have a week that I bought this product and to really scare after installing it in the projector because it emanated a strong smell of burning, after seeing this, I started reading several comments that have a star rating and I can see that many of they are right in that they heat up a lot and then they claim some that the lens of the equipment has exploded. Actually when I turned on the equipment I was scared by the strong smell of burning and turned off the equipment. I took the equipment to a technician and he only told me that if the lamp is in warranty to return it, then I proceeded to make the return but unfortunately my wife threw the packing box and I do not know if I can make the return without the box in which the product came. I do not recommend this lamp.
