Great replacement bulb... for a SHORT time

Fit perfectly in my Epson Home Cinema 1040 projector. Very bright, with excellent picture quality.

Update: The bulb is dying. After just two months. It started going dim at times while watching a movie, and eventually it faded to about half the brightness it should have.

Update: the seller contacted me to make it right after reading my review. They offered a replacement or full refund. It's refreshing when a manufacturer stands behind their product.

This replacement bulb was easy to install and did not require me to remove the projector from my ceiling. The only thing I have noticed that is different from the original bulb is that almost every time I initially turn it on, about 5 minutes later the cooling fan kicks into high gear for about 1 to 3 minutes. After that the cooling fan goes back to low quiet mode and everything works fine. This is the only thing that is different than the original bulb.

This is the 2nd time I've bought this lamp. I could tell the lamp I had bought previously was going bad after only 650 hrs on dynamic. It was turning yellow and the brightness was fading. Though it still worked, it was starting to get annoying. I popped this baby in, in about 5 minutes and the difference was awesome. No more squinting. Hopefully this lasts longer than the 650 hours the other one did. I'll be watching this one more closely for fading and report back.

Update: The company sent me a new one honoring the warranty. They contacted me after seeing the review which is great because I was not planning to reach out to them.
I am hoping that this new one will last, I will update this review accordingly.

I did not listen to the negative reviews and here we are: after 15-20 hours of use and the lamp is out. If you need only few hours of use this product might be a good option.

Great lamp, only thing I noticed is that it doesn’t have the little flap door on the housing in comparison to the one I replaced. I’m sure this will probably cut some life out of it, but other than that it works pretty darn good for now so I’ll still give it 4 stars.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that it only lasted 2 months and stopped working. These things happen and products have defects sometimes, no big deal. but I reached out to the company and they wasted no time to send me out a new one free of charge. EDIT: E-Morse send a replacement bulb without question next day! I put the bulb in, and it work flawlessly with no sounds. This one should last longer, due to no noise and better quality. I did have to clean out the shards of glass from the previous bulb. But I am a satisfied customer and will buy again due to great customer service. THANK YOU.
