Its 200watts and the manufacturer bulb is 300 watts. I bought 1 and paid extra for a 4 year warranty. Good thing i did that. The bulb only lasted about 1000 hours and then went out. Got another one through my warranty and that one lasted about 1000 hours. Quality was ok but for 80 bucks you mine as well pay a little more and get the actual one thats for your specific projector.
At first I was really excited, I was sad to see my bulb was going in my Home Cinema 2040 after just 2 years of use. I did some digging, Amazon suggested this to me. I'm coming back after almost a year of using it, because the quality has been bugging me bad and I just haven't had time to loop back. Initially it looks close to the OEM bulb. Over the first 6 months, the bulb couldn't be run in ECO mode anymore, it was way too dark, almost like I had brightness turned down. Colors weren't as vivid and the crispness was slightly off. Turning it into normal mode brightened it back up to almost as bright as OEM, but it's still not sharp as it used to be on edges. It's also getting so hot that the fan sounds like a turbine trying to keep up. The OEM bulb in my projector room had no problem during the day being used for gaming, after 6 months this bulb looks washed out, like I'm playing outside in the sun on a screen.
For the money, so nonheavy use this may be a fine alternative, but I use mine for 4-6 hours a day of video and gaming, it's bothering me it looks so poor so soon that I had to come back and review
had over 8000 hours on my last bulb, decided i could use a new one. this is pretty bright and has good color, but its not much better than my old original bulb. deff a improvment over the 8000 hours the other one had. the real bulb is $30 more and i feel like it would have been worth paying for but im just happy to have my projector running again.
this bulb works great as long as I keep it on full power mode. if I leave it on eco mode to long I start getting color lines in the picture. If I turn it back to full power, and the lines go away after a minute or two.. Not sure whats up with that...
