I usually use L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara because it really does give you the best falsies look (I’ve actually been asked if my lashes were real while wearing it), but so much of it ends up in my eyes and all over my face as it flakes off so I wanted to try something gentler. This was one of the higher rated gentle mascaras I found but I have to say, I think I’m going to try a different one next. This will definitely makes your lashes longer but not fuller as I prefer. I also still find that it flakes off and ends up in my eyes so that defeats the whole reason I bought it. The primer is nice, but I don’t think it really makes much of a difference which is why I stopped buying them in the past.
I bought this mascara for the same reasons a lot of people probably did: it sounded good on paper. In reality, this mascara is super dry and hardly noticeable, I had to add water to it to even make it usable. The primer was fine, but the actual mascara itself seemed like it was just totally empty or something.
This is the second time I've purchased it, it had a lot of the same issues the first tube but I was willing to try it again and see if it would be any different, maybe I'd just gotten unlucky the first time etc., but nope, this is the quality you can come to expect from this product I guess and for the price, no thanks.
I'll be going back to brands that deliver what they promise, chemicals be damned, beauty has a cost. Hopefully this helps someone else that was struggling to decide whether this high price tag was worth it. I do not recommend. If you're looking for natural mascara you're just gonna have to spend even more than this cheap product to get something that will work out. The brush sucks too.
I haven't been wearing mascara in quite awhile and decided to see if I could find a decent one to start with again. I like this product and will buy it again. I've read the less-than-stellar reviews on it and while everything is not "one product fits all" I found that I like the fact the primer and mascara are together. It sure beats trying to fishing around for 2 wands. The brush is just the right size for me. I hate the big, full brushes that just glob on the mascara. I have more control with the smaller brush. I have a TERRIBLE problem with the mascara flaking off...doesn't matter which one I get or how much money I spend. This brand stays put, does the job and doesn't muck up my contacts or irritate my skin (like some will do). Would I recommend trying it? Yes I would.
I've been through dozens of mascaras, high end, prestige brands, low priced ones, this is one I can say I really recommend!! Doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, does not flake or come off during the day! The primer is in one end of the tube, and spreads nicely on the lashes, then wait 30 seconds and apply mascara from the other end. While it doesn't thicken the lashes as much as I'd like it lengthens and separates your lashes. Great price, very happy with this product!
This product contains phenoxyethanol, something that I have a sensitivity to, and something I am shocked to find out is an ingredient in this sort of product line. It is toxic to some (I am not allergic to it but find it very irritating for me) should be revisited by this manufacturer, who touts “The Honest Company's mission is “to empower people to live healthy, happy lives. We're committed to creating effective, safe, delightful, accessible, responsible products.” I believe it is unsafe and unhealthy. Try again, Honestly!
Incredible product. Not only is it cruelty free and free of nasty parabens, paraffins, synthetic fragrances, silicones and mineral oil -- It works! I have tried very expensive to very cheap mascaras and none of them made my eyelashes look like I had eyelashes. The primer brush prepares my lash with a white coating that clears and then after 30 seconds I brush on the black mascara. Immediately I had long lashes again. This product is outstanding.
I was so excited to get a 2-in-1 and assumed based on the price and brand that it would be decent. WRONG! It clumps and worst of all, it flakes horribly and I had to use the restroom throughout the day to wipe the flakes off my cheeks and use q-tips to clean the additional flakes out of my glasses. Super disappointing. Don't waste your money.
What I liked is that you have the primer and mascara in one. Pretty handy. What I didn't like was with the primer, it felt like I was putting cream cheese on my eyelashes. It was chunky and it didn't spread. I probably spent more time trying to get primer on all of my eyelashes and smoothing out the chunks. I'm not sure if I got an older tube? As for the mascara, it wasn't any better than what you buy in stores in my opinion. But it did wash off easy and I didnt have raccoon eyes for once.
I have extremely sensitive eyes and so I was researching brands and honest kept coming up. I bought this mascara and wigging seconds of applying my eyes were on fire. My eyes hurt the entires day even after removing. If you don’t have sensitivity then it was actually really nice for length.
