To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I don’t do much baking, but Republique is one of my stops every time I’m in Los Angeles. This book is beautiful! It gives detailed instructions, all with stunning photography. I’ve made a handful of recipes, and they’ve all come out better than the last.
This book is beautiful and all of the recipes look delicious. The recipes are easy to follow for home bakers. My biggest issue with the book is that there isn’t a section that tells you about which equipment you’ll need to bake the recipes. Many of the recipes call for ring molds but give you no instruction on how to use them. I would love more guidance on how to make the lovely, small cakes and tarts you see in the images throughout the book. For now, I’ll keep enjoying the loaf cakes, cookies and croissants.
Everything sounds delicious but the recipes aren't always clear. I am an experienced baker yet I found myself reading the recipes again and again asking, Wait a minute, when did they add this...how did they do that...
I couldn’t wait to receive this book but I was bummed to see that the third page already has a tear in it. It is small but also just a bummer when it’s a book purchased new. I don’t really want to go through the whole return and purchase again process but I might. Otherwise the book is lovely and filled with so many amazing looking recipes.
