To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
In true Mario Party style, we see a vibrant collection of mini-games packaged in a simple-enough game for all ages and skill-levels.
The game doesn't demand a lot of expertise, but it also falls short for those with higher skill levels a little. It's good for when you're playing with a lot of friends but if you're playing alone you're going to find most of the enjoyment is missing.
The online section is great; I had a little trouble connecting but otherwise the experience for solo players was good fun here.
This game is for you if you can play it regularly with a group of friends or a partner. It is so polished, it is really fantastic. My only complaint is that there are a lacklustre number of boards for the main Mario Party game (4 at release), and the settings are excessively limited (stars always cost 10 coins, you should be able to change this to 20 coins). The online mode needs to be revamped.
Kids would love it, for adults some of the minigames are a bit simplistic.
Mario Party as it should be, coop rafting mode is a bonus, certainly could stand to have more boards though, and it does force you to use the detachable tiny remotes, which if you have adult sized hands is rather tedious.
BIt of a mix-up with the delivery as I originally pre-ordered the game but they delivered it a few days after launch date but only notified me once they charged my account. However that's only a small complaint, game works fine and the competitive price they offer and free delivery is really good.
