To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I used this a couple days and the battery ran down, showing just one of the 3 blocks, indicating it was approaching needing a charge. The enclosed instructions indicate to connect the supplied charging cable to a charger (you use your own charger, one was not supplied) that supplies 1A to 3A 5volt charging current and that the battery symbol will flash while charging and stop flashing when the battery is fully charged. I used one of my chargers, a fully functioning GAN charger that supplies 2.5A. Two hours later the battery symbol was still flashing. The battery in this thing is rated 0.500mah, so it should have been fully charged in less than 15 minutes. I then substituted a different charger, one supplying 2.1A 5volt current and an hour later the symbol was still flashing. Lithium ion rechargeable batteries are notoriously dangerous when overcharged. Sophisticated systems need to be in place to ensure these batteries do not literally explode in fire. I do not trust this device and have arranged to ship it back to Amazon (they supplied me with a UPS label and I have to deliver it to a UPS store). I'll stick to a similarly priced but 2x AAA powered FM radio I recently bought off Amazon and stay away from any that use lithium ion batteries. This one is sold by several sellers here at Amazon, they just rebrand them. I'd stay away from them.
I needed to replace my Sony Walkman SRF M37w that I had so long that I found out they are not made anymore. I like, and wanted, real local radio. Local weather, traffic and news. Not the crap they fill that with on the radio apps. This radio picks up the stations better than my little Walkman ever did. Big surprise. The sound is great for my classic rock stations. The tuner numbers are not exact like regular digital radios. If I want 550 am it shows 549. FM is correct. The battery is rechargeable and plugs into any usb charger. It last all day. I have used it over 8 hours straight without recharging. Downfalls is the size. It is small and slippery. It does not have a clip or holder. It falls out of pockets easily. I have been putting it in my front jean pocket instead of shirt.
I defy anyone,to figure out how to save a station. The stool on,770 KHz reads 774, the station at 710 KHz reads 711 on this radio. No function to adjust. Sound quality is gpod though. FM reception acceptable. AM is spotty
This one is so much better than the one I lost! I had to reorder and this one is easier to turn on and off, the other would turn it's self off because the on/off was on the side and would hit things. The sound is better because it does not need to be turned exactly just so to pickup the signal. I am very happy!
Impressed with reception on both AM and FM. My first rechargeable radio which so far last a full day of listening. I'm happy with it, just have to see how long the internal rechargeable battery will last.
