Do not waste your time or money on this product. Purchased this for 4 security cameras around the house. Was good at first as they seemed to hold up good, only had one camera come loose within a 2 month window. However, recently I heard a fly that kept buzzing by the window. When I went up to the window it was stuck in this goop that seemed to appear. After looking into it I discovered it was coming from my suction cup. Apparently the rubber/ silicon part up against the window was melting, literally melting! Now these aren’t even that old, I started out with 2 cameras as a test, then upgraded to 4. (Was testing custom cameras, not the suction cups). The suction cup was a huge pain to remove as it had fused to the glass, once removed there is still a big mess to clean up. Of course this happens just outside of the return window. I would really love to return both orders and find another product!
Product worked great in the beginning. We've been having to adjust the mount at a regular intervals every few day. The suction cup is breaking down to a semi gooey mass. It is inside on a window, it does get sun for the first part of the day. I would not recommend these mounts for anything with sun exposure.
These don't suck and that's the problem. Used them for Vive lighthouse mounting indoors, luckily I had a backup bit of string holding them up in case they failed, cause failed they sure as heck did. I tried like 3 or 4 times, nothing worked, after 5 or maybe 10 min they would pop right off. Not worth it Vive owners, not worth it. Tossed'em, got 3M picture mounting velcro like stuff, that worked great. These would probably work on glass, I don't know, I'm just happy I didn't trust them and didn't bust my lighthouse sensors.
I wanted this to mount my camera on a window for my Cam Pan so I could monitor outside activity. However, the mount is too close to the window and nearly eliminates the pan motion of the camera. Additionally, if I were pointing the camera away from the window the power cord touches the window. My Cam Pan has been reduced to a stationary camera.
Would rate one star don’t get for htc vive I cleaned the surface and did everything it said before suctioning to the wall and they fell a day later while I was at work and broke both base stations and I can’t return them so now I’m going to have to spend 300 dollars just to get new ones because of this product
