The cheap button used to set the timer and turn on the device jammed after having it for only about a month. And that's considering I didn't even press the button much, only when I had to charge it twice and restart the settings.
Now the button is jammed in and even if you press it, you just jam it further and it does nothing now. I wasn't rough with it or anything, I was casually just trying to turn it on. I've tried pulling it out but the button is shot and now this thing is useless. Cheap.
Received my order as promised, charged it up until the blue light came on. Then I went to depress the on/off button and noticed the button was flush mounted to the metal side and not protruding as you would expect. The button would not depress at all. So I never got my unit to work. I called Amazon for a replacement /return. I will reassess when I get the new one. FYI I tried to track down the manufacturer on line and discovered their phone number is out of service. This makes me very suspicious about any future warranty issues. Not happy with Amazon right now!
only 210 lumen, ~18watt equiv. at it’s brightest when fully charged, adequate for a small closet. Light is bright white in color. Built in Rechargeable battery is a nice feature and easy to remove since mounting is via magnetic strip. However, I found that the battery life is limited; Charging again after a week of limited on-time. 2nd charge was required after on 2 days, as I could tell the light was dimming, and it is not a fast charge; full charge requiring over 6 hours.
I just bought 4 of these lights and was eager to try them, first one out of the box worked great, nice and bright I was like THIS is what I want. I proceeded to install the others, 2nd one, the push button was broke RIGHT out of the box, so I went to try the 3rd, same thing, so I was frustrated with this so far, so I grabbed the 4th one, and it turned on and the seemed to be working until I noticed it would stay on, so I swtiched to the BLUE mode, stayed on..........tried them all and nothing worked then it wouldnt ever shut off............like I said light was awesome but the unit construction is just cheap and TRASH DO NOT BUY!!!! also do NOT take the take backing off the magnet, once its on its not coming off without ruining the surface its put on. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR $$$$$$ Yours might works at first but will bet it wont after time.
I bought 9 of these. 3 worked ok but had trouble sticking to my apartment walls, I don't care about that because I can just use command hooks. However, *six* of these won't charge at all and won't turn on - they're complete junk. I can't believe I wasted so much money on them. I've tried charging them with the included cords and with my own Anker cords - nothing works. Huge rip-off.
Update: the remainder stopped working the first time I tried recharging them. I wrote the company and they offered to exchange them if I sent them back at my own expense. I did so, with delivery confirmation, months ago. I never heard back from the company. I really urge you to look elsewhere if you want lights that actually work.
I REALLY wanted to like these. I purchased a few sets in April 2019 for my clothing closet. I received them, and one of them had a power-on button that was already stuck so I couldn't turn it on. No problem, I quickly returned and got a new one. They look great in my closet, make it bright so I can see my clothing, so I purchased two more. Then one of them died so I tried to put it on the charger I got with it, dang thing didn't fit! So there goes one. Then I was turning one on and the button got stuck, can't get it out. Another topped over (not hard, mind you) to lay the power-button side on a perpendicular space, broken. I'm now down to ONE out of the six I purchased is left remaining, only 10 months later! For $30 for ONE light, that's ridiculous.
Everything was great at the beginning. It was easy to install, although the magnetic strip at times does not hold. It is rechargeable and at first the charge lasted quite a while. Then it needed to be recharged more frequently and this last time it charged but the motion detection is no longer working, so the light does not go on and the side button to change the settings collapsed into the light. This is after ONLY FOUR MONTHS.
As suggested by other reviewers, I charged this light up completely. But then, it wouldn't turn on. The on/off button is stuck inside the frame! So disappointed. Will have to wait for my replacement light.
UPDATE 4/24/2020 This light worked great until after I recharged it. When I tried to turn the light on, the on/off button disappeared inside the frame! I wish I hadn't bought this in the first place.
This light worked great for the first three weeks after it arrived. Read all directions, charging etc. Installed light in hallway. After the second week it did not keep the charge. In the third week, I could not get the motion function to work properly. It only worked it the "on" or "off" mode. Not worth money. BTW I tried this product twice so I know it's not an isolated case.
