To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
yes it works well with recent lenses and even 3rd party ones like Tamron and Sigma.
However there are several issues: 1- The tripod mount location is weird and in the way if you use the camera on a tripod. 2- I wished they had engineered a way to support older lenses, or maybe offer another Adapter for the lens without motors.
This thing is adequate for mounting a Nikon "F" mount lens to the Z mount camera. However, it is very tight fitting on the lens end (the camera mount end seems to fit much better). Also, the tripod foot should have been removable as other manufacturers do. When setting this down on a table the camera, adapter and lens do not sit flat on the table and can wobble and move around. Nikon engineers clearly did not think this thing through when the slapped this design together; they did the least they had to do.
Not quite the value proposition that I was hoping for. My basic issue is that AF functions on my Nikon full frame lenses don’t work. Not a one. So don’t expect any functionality with that. For a longer lens, that isn’t such an issue. For a macro lens, this is pretty troubling. At least the focus indicators on the Z7 are easier and faster than my old full frame Nikon body.
