This product was used for a survival night in 20 degree weather. It tore extremely easily and did not keep me warm even with a fire only one foot away. The grommets tore while putting it up and one end tore where a stake was
i gave this tent a shot on April 1 through 5 i had to leave door open most of the time because of condensation i will not use this in warm or hot weather just a thought maybe you can add a zippered window to regulate temperature ps; i gave it 4 stars because it does what it says
I picked this version of tube tent because it had one end that was enclosed. The other end has flaps that can be tied closed so it's really quite protective, more so than many of the open ended tube tents in its category. I am really happy with the quality and size for the money. It packs down pretty small and is very lightweight but the material is quite strong and I liked the fact that it was also fireproof. This was purchased for our emergency supply kit and we are very happy with it.
Have not had to put it in action, and hope I don’t. I picked this one because ends of it can be enclosed and zipped up. I think that would be much better in an emergency, especially with High wind, and water with cold temps, this seems more likely to keep you dry, and warm in those conditions. Seems like the others had both ends open and that would not work in high wind, nor keeping your body heat in, plus no complete protection from rain. I feel good about this choice.
This was amazing, used in an emergency bout 10,000 elevation in Wyoming mountains. Did not have trees to tie up rope but no big deal. Slept in it like sleeping bag, worked great. Light blanket inside. Stayed warm and because of stiff material it stayed up on its own well enough about my head just cracked open enough for fresh air and ventilation. Great little tent!
Glad I tested this at home before bringing with me on survival camping trip. One of the loops on the bottom ripped off immediately with very little force applied. No way this thing would last a weekend trip.
