As I'm writing this, I am purchasing a different MP3 player. This one worked for about a year before the regular usage has made it questionably inefficient. Mine now doesn't indicate if it's been fully charged or not, nor does it turn on properly when you flick the power switch into the "ON" position. A couple times it DID work, the screen looked like a clown vomitted confetti. The device was decent when it worked, (I enjoyed the radio function when my music got repetitive) but as others have said, there's really no way to make a playlist beyond making individual folders. I did enjoy that there was a 1.5x and 2.0x tempo option, but the menus were a bit too complex to page through. Also, you can cause the MP3 player to glitch if you upload an MP4 into it by mistake and then you have to remove that file.
Ordered on April 22, 2019 (Questionably Inefficient as of November 25, 2020)
Originally purchased an 8gb RUIZU back in December 2018 and was very pleased with the product. When I saw the player with 16gb player also with built in speakers I wasted no time in ordering again. Based on quality of first player I expected the second played to be about the same. WRONG! Received player , spent a good portion of the day loading 80GB of music (using external 64GB card plus the 16GB card built in). Looked through booklet that came with and found nothing regarding internal speakers, went back and reread description on product where it clearly stated no need for earphones. I haven't decided if I will return product or keep. It's a great player but, if I keep it it's just sending the message that it's ok to put false information in description.
Just when I thought I had this device figured out, it does something that just makes me shake my head. The main problem with this Player is that there are too many different functions for each thing you press. Nothing is really obvious. I like to shuffle the songs and now I can't figure out how to do this anymore, even with the manual in hand. It's like this thing has a mind of it's own. I'm going to buy from a different brand and will throw this one in the garbage.
I put this to heavy use for over a month, and just returned it. About a week ago, it began corrupting the files I downloaded to it, in all about 25 out of 70 files. I would love to know if this is a "known issue". Until then, I would have rated it 4/5, but this is a fatal flaw.
Files cannot be sorted and the default sorting is not natural (alphabetic, numeric). Finding something is a nightmare if you are using this at its capacity. Improve the interface a little and I think it would work well but for me this is not usable. Returned.
