To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this for my 12 year old son because i want him to be able to listen to music but i didn’t want to buy him a smartphone. Because it’s only function is to play music, the battery life is really long. He can go 3 days or more without charging it. He also likes the radio function.
Can’t make playlist from the memory card when operating the device but the person can make folder and loads songs for a pre-made playlist. But I’m so happy about the product. It’s a amazing price. The body on the device looks well made and light. I’m glad that clicked on item and bought it. I’m giving it a full star rating.
This arrived on time, it is compatible with mac / itunes so I was able to transfer all my music with no problems. The headphones aren't the best quality but that isn't an issue to replace. I wanted this so I could connect it in the car and solely for music so I am happy with the product for that function and would recommend it!
Just received today. Very happy that all my music fit on it. I have about 1,000 songs or 60 hours of music (mostly mp3)and took up only 5gb of the nearly 16 gb available. Theres an sd card slot, but I'm glad I don't have to buy the extra storage space at this time. Equalizer function is super nice to customize your sound. I did not try the included ear buds yet, but the sound quality was great with my apple ear buds. I plugged it in and it immediately synced to my computer and windows media player without issue. It transferred the music and all of the album clipart flawlessly . For well under $30 this little mp3 player seems to work Just as well as the $100 Sony mp3 player that it replaced. It is plastic and very light weight and a bit cheap feeling. But for the price and how it sounds, I'm very happy with it.
I have always carried some sort of MP3 player on my person pretty consistently since around 2006. MOSTLY, these have all been iPods, with only 2-off brand devices ever being used,(this one is #3). My most recent iPod purchase was, I believe, 2016. The problem with iPods is that they are no longer being produced; any you can still buy were built a long time ago. This means that: the batteries in them are of an older tech type than is available for battery construction today and; these batteries were built a long time ago. With older tech of these batteries, combined with their age, I've learned that they just don't hold up anymore. As a disappointed iPod fan-boy who just wanted what he's always had, I had to turn to other options as my previous iPod's battery life was just basically nonexistant even though it was a fairly new purchase. So I decided to take a gamble and try out this device, and I'm very glad that I did. I can listen to this device for most of the day every day and only have to charge it every 3 days or so. (Seriously, it's playing for probably 12 hours a day at loud volume so this is pretty darn good in my opinion). As a Winter outdoors enthusiast, I've brought this device with me on several long winter hikes through deep snow in Wisconsin. Hikes in subzero temperatures lasting 5-6 hours each, constant playing, this device didn't mind and kept working flawlessly. Most other devices die after a couple hours even though there were at full & fresh charge when I started, just because they can't handle the cold. This device worked GREAT in the cold-- so if you're looking for a rugged device that you can bring with you then I suggest this one. Very light-weight, I also like it's buttons and control scheme, pretty intuitive. Since the buttons are in fact actually BUTTONS and not some lame touch-screen, I have no problem controlling the device if my hands are wet and sweaty, which is always my pet peeve with the touch screen devices (or an iPod scroll-wheel). Lots of memory, I hold as much music as I want and a great folder system easy to organize any way you want. Not sure what else to say. This device is rugged and reliable and worth every penny.
I just received my item, it is amazing. It is exactly what I am looking for in a mp3 player. You can play music by artist, album, genre, folder or playlist. I love players with these options. Last year my sansa mp3 player of 17 years has died. I spent money trying to find one that comes close to the sansa I had, only to be let down and out of money. However, this player is the answer to my prayers.
PROS: It is easy to navigate and to download music. You have the option to download ebooks and videos although the screen is small. If you are online when downloading music, the lyrics will often download to the player, which is a nice unexpected aspect. It has fm radio, the player also has the Tetris game and 1 other game to play, a nice bonus. The player also has a second off button, to completely turn off the device to save battery power, a really excellent idea.
CONS: powered by internal battery. I prefer mp3 players with removable batteries that way I will always have music to listen to. The old sansa player got me through the summer blackout of 2003 and through hurricane sandy. All I had to do was change the batteries. If this player was operated by aa/ aaa batteries it will be perfect.
I am going to purchase another one as a back up player. I highly recommend this player.
