Absolutely love this book, as a flower farmer in the UK it has brilliant advice and clarifies for me when and how to sow cool flowers ie Hardy Annuals. I find myself referring to it often, and the authors personal story of how she came to be a flower farmer is very inspiring. So happy I purchased this lovely book.
Already planning my cool flowers planting before this year’s are in the ground. Excellent book for a cut flower grower or even a gardener eating to grow a cut flower patch in their garden or alottment. Not too long, packed with good info.
Lisa has completely changed the way that I look at annuals and how they're planted. Working in the greenhouse/nursery world we always preach plant after the chance of frost. So the first time I read her book, I thought "This is all great. But that doesn't work in our growing zone (3). This book isn't for me." But after chatting with Lisa, she assures me that I just have to start in the spring, not in fall. So next spring I'm looking forward to taking her book to the field and planting earlier than I have ever planted. Her book truly is a book for all planting zones and has opened my eyes to a completely new way of growing.
This book is a game changer. I followed her advice this year and was able to have some successes, had we not had major snow late in the season I would have gotten to it even sooner. The book is worth every penny if you sell flowers in any capacity or if you are an avid gardener.
