the brushes are clearly machine made (i.e. not professional quality) and out of the 5 pack, several were misshapen due to crimps at the top or very badly aligned bristles. In fact, on 3 of the 5, there are a lot of the bristles that are bent and running diagonally across the brush head, along with others that have clumps that are crimped by the metal band and sticking out like a bad hair day. you get what you pay for i guess, but these are a far cry from "pro grade". mid grade DIY maybe. definitely won't buy again.
I did not like these brushes. They shed tons and leave a very streaky finish (due to the coarseness of the bristles, maybe). They shed a lot. I am painting a simple mural on one wall and I stopped using these altogether in favor of small paintbrushes because these were so bad. I am using wall paint (acrylic) and they are also difficult to clean unless you do it while they are sopping wet.
These brushes are ok for a quick touch up or perhaps some crafting, but don't use these for fine, detailed painting. Their bristles are not fine enough to paint without leaving large unsightly brush lines in the paint. I was using Kilz all purpose primer on a wood working project and was dismayed at how many large brush lines this brush left in the primer. I quickly pulled my old Whizz paint brush (search Amazon if interested) out of the trash and used it to finish my project. It worked better than this brand. I gave these brushes 2 stars for decent price and amazing quantity. My advice: Don't use these brushes on fine, detailed work.
You get what you pay for with these brushes, they're disposable not worth cleaning. Pro Grade? Definitely not!. Tried them on some window sashes and they left horrible brush marks grabbed one of my good brushes and smoothed out the paint with one stroke. These aren't for detailed work.
You get what you pay for. The bristles are hard, wiry, and kept falling out. So, forget about that smooth gloss finish you hopelessly desire for your kitchen cabinets. In conclusion, there is nothing "Pro Grade" about these brushes. Good luck.
I bought these because it was recommended with the paint I ordered. As soon as I took them out of the package the bristles started falling out and kept on falling out. this applies to all the brushes packs Of two and five
