How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars not what i wanted. until i used them

i read a review here saying these brushes wereh as soft or softer than many of the high dollar brushes. i really like those expensive brushes.... but the expense.... Whew..

these brushes may be the stiffest brushes i have ever used, my first thought was to return them. i didn't. i am in the middle of painting a rental unit. extra brushes are a good thing
last night i used the 2 1/2 inch cut brush in a bedroom.

to my surprise it is great... great taper..now i am thinking these brushes may be the best cut brushes i have ever used... price no object.
... i have been painting 40 years... doesn't make me good, just opinionated
this cut brush is all about control and skill.. it lets you be as good as you can be....

i just ordered a few of them.... my new best go to cut brush..
they hold paint well .. paint flows, just so, onto the surface being painted.. did i mention Control??

the only negative is cleaning... i give them a 8 out of 10.. using a stainless wire brush and ammonia and a vigorous brushing there was still paint, not much but small residue up at the handle..
but they do clean better than those $17 brushes....

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Quality!

These paint brushes are a great value. I would honestly say the bristles are comparable to Purdy brushes or Ace’s premium brand brushes. They are more the soft and flexible variety. They are certainly better quality than the Valspar brush I own. They are made in China so that stinks, but I would definitely recommend these brushes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best You Can Ecconomnical Get

This brush has fine bristles and an unfinished wooden handle. It is not a stiff brush and feathers well. The synthetic bristles are bound well in the brush and unlike some economical brushes you don't leave little bristles all over your work. This brush is best when you need a brush that feels good in the hand for spreading a product that will be almost impossible to clean off.

Thinned out two part varnishes, urethanes, marine grade acrylics, and epoxies are notorious for ruining expensive brushes. That is where this brush fits in. It allows me to do a great job and if I have to sacrifice the brush afterwards its not a big loss.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to clean. Smooth application.

I have purchased these paint brushes twice. The first time, I gave my set to a neighbor as I didn't need them anymore. I like that these brushes are super easy to clean and the bristles don't stick together once completely dry. The brush never stiffens while being used, like some other brushes I have painted with. I would recommend these paint brushes to anyone looking for a good bargain for the price and a smooth applying brush for their painting project.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought for epoxy

Needed a brush I didn't have to worry about tossing. I'm epoxying an antique claw tub. Needed one brush. The angled brush will come in handy during refurbishing a ton of stuff.

I'd say the rust reviews are due to the owner not fully drying the brushes after washing to reuse.

My recommend is once the brush is fully washed, tap it to ensure any water stuck in the brush will come off. Do this outside if you don't want splatters. Then, use a rag to wrap around the brush and squeeze or even step on the bristles. Wrap in paper towel over night.

These tips may not fully eliminate a rust pocket, but this can help diminish rust tremendously.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for MY Purpose!

Yes a couple bristles came out while brushing on to stone. I used to apply Spar Urethane Satin Sealer to flagstone. These brushes did just fine and for a very inexpensive cost. I was thinking I would not be able to reuse, but I was able to. They cleaned up nicely with mineral spirits. I covered about 270sq ft of stone and some rustic application to some rail road ties. VERY pleased!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed, for the price!

These 2 brushes made it all the way through painting multiple coats of paint on our chicken coop, and they still look fine! Very discolored now, but that's expected. For what I paid, I'm just happy they didn't fall apart! 😂 And they're still holding together without issues!

So inexpensive I bought them to use as throw-away brushes but I ended up cleaning and re-using many times. They are NOT as good as a Purdy or a Wooster, but at a fraction of the cost I find them real handy for many jobs. I always use them for primer and oil-based products so I don't jazz up my better brushes. If you do a lot of projects, get these!

5.0 out of 5 stars For the price, not bad, However.

I bought 2 sets and used one. The straight edge worked just fine painting the outside of my house. However when using the angle brush touching up a wall inside the house I had several of the brush bristles come out while painting. My suggestion is to pull the bristles to remove any lose ones before using. Once i removed the lose bristles I had no other problems.
