To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I ordered two of these as Christmas gifts. One of them did not work right away, it would not charge, and the buttons did not work. I exchanged this item with the exact same item right away. The second Christmas gift seemed to be working fine for about a week, then it too stopped charging. And finally, the replacement item would not recognize the same card I had used in the previous mp3 player of the same model.
I put a bunch of music on this thing, and I will admit that I barely use the thing, but so far I have only charged it once, and it's been sitting there for a long time on the shelf, and still reports a full battery. I took it apart to see the innards, looking for any major design flaws, and it doesn't appear to be that poorly engineered, either.
The UI is a nightmare to navigate, changing some of the controls you'd expect from an ipod clone device to be different just for the sake of making it different. The center click button, which you'd expect to work like an enter button in the main UI is actually the back button, and the top menu button on the keypad is mapped to be the enter. It'd definitely be better if it had homebrew software on it.
The screen is also nothing to write home about, I wouldn't use the video playback feature of this device at all, instead, I'd just opt to use it for its fairly decent audio output if you want a cheap MP3 player that you don't have to worry so much about getting damaged, thanks to the low price tag. It also might make a decent MP3 player for a child that you don't want to give some expensive, fancy device to, especially if they tend to break things!
Bought 2 of these from different sellers in the last 30 days, one for each child. This one seems a bit better quality and has a higher storage capacity for a dollar less. Its only been a couple of weeks so we'll see how they stand up to the rigors of 11yo's in the next month I'm guessing. So far great..kids are very happy
It appears a lot of people receive this error on Windows 10:
'<Device number> was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match'
So the MP3 player is using the default Windows Driver which in most cases should be fine unless Windows does its normal "Windows thing". I manually attempted to install the driver, uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, re<fillintheblank>, nothing worked.
The company does not have a website that I could find and comes with a mini 5-page instruction manual (no website listed. There is no place to go to download a custom driver.
If you have a older version of Windows running (7/8), this might be a good option for you. As of now, my life is worth more than $13/hour.
I washed my last MP3 player by accident...this one came the next day and I slipped the memory card in (doesn’t come with one but the one I washed still worked) and it’s back on the treadmill ready to run. Some people don’t like holding things when they run, that doesn’t bother me. The only thing that I’ve noticed is when I turn off the player...it doesn’t remember where I was when I turn it back on. The volume always goes back to 24 also.. My old one was able to remember both of the above. So that’s 2 things (I really don’t care about either of those issues) The interface is easy to use and it’s small enough to hold but large enough to see!
it is not simple to use. for some reason you would think the center button is used as a confirmation when clicking an app on it, it is not. it is play/pause and cancel. aside from weird button commands, it also has a clunky game that it comes with. you cant really play more than one level, not because it is hard but the "you win message from the very first level wont go away when the second level starts. it wouldn't go away until turned off and on again because the game wouldn't let me exit it easily. it also comes with no internal storage of it's own so you will have to buy a micro sd card for it. for returning it, for some reason, i only get 24 hours to do so which is weird. also i ordered green but got a yellow or goldish one. kinda looks like that weird baby food yellow. which isn't what i expected at all
Unbelievably difficult to use. I return this after several attempts to use it. Every time you turn it on it starts on the same album on the same song. It takes multiple button pushes to get to a new song. The buttons are not labeled correctly so it takes longer to figure out how to get to the next album or even to the next song. You cannot shuffle the songs throughout the albums. so you're pretty much stuck listening to the same album over and over.
It has no internal memory which isn't a big deal. But the ease of use makes it a horrible product. Not good for children adults or grandparents.
I got 2, sound quality is good. one plays for over 6 hours the second can not get to 2 hours of music playing time. Screen is hard to see and if your outside... good luck. One will play my sd card from the first song to the last with out stopping other then the battery getting low. The other plays the same as card but will o ly play 3 or 4 songs then stops play back. And you have to go back in and go to the music folder and hit play..
Crap. Not user friendly. How many hidden off buttons does an MP3 player need? Will this button start my music or turn the player off? Fun little mystery game. This does not come with an sd card. Obviously for the price we all should've known, but the pic is very deceiving.
The price is good, the sound is okay, but that's about all that's good about this thing. The buttons don't do what you think they do. The Menu button is OK and the OK button is Menu. There is no concept of playlists, artists, or albums. The Music is not alphabetical and you can't change the sort order. The FM radio really stinks - it's mostly static, even on powerful stations nearby. I'm going to have to manually organize the music into folders for different genres, but that still doesn't fix it. Stay away.
