As the title describes, it's an awesome mouse on the surface, but I had mine have left click issues not even 2 months after purchase. Totally unacceptable for a product of that price. And I'm not alone with that issue. Doesn't seem to be just bad luck. This issue is the most common issue if you research the web about it. So what that tells me is, it's a design/engineering issue, and not just poor QC.
My theory is this mouse have a design flaw that makes the left clicking issue a thing. It can't be the switch failing after only 2 months. It's either something with the contacts inside, or it is a software/driver issue. Can't know for sure. The issue just appears, then disappears. When a switch fails, it fails consistently. It doesn't just fail for 2 hours, then go back to life with 100% of the clicks registering as if nothing happened for 12 hours, etc.
The issue seemed to surface when I played games where you fast click a lot. For example, an Hack & Slash game, or a Multi-Player Shooter. When playing slow paced Single-Player Shooters, or just using the OS for general purposes, the issue tended to completely disappear.
What's worst is Corsair doesn't seem to acknowledge it as being a known issue, even though multiple people are reporting the same thing. I also had to pay for RMA shipping and import fees, so I just told them to drop the case. They then gave me a pre-paid shipping UPS label, which redeems them a bit. But I had to complain to get it.
I still had to go through the hassle of buying another cheaper mouse as a temporary replacement, and ship that one. After only two months of the purchase, for an almost 90 CAD mouse. Not impressive at all. So you can take your chance and buy it, it's maybe a hit or miss. I just hope not all M65 Elites have this issue, and that my replacement will be a good one.
But as I said, there's certainly a good batch from this model with that issue. So beware. If it wasn't for that issue, that product would be a 4-5 Stars. The synergy the mouse has with other Corsair RGB products through the iCUE software is really neat.
As many others, I had the left-click problem within two months. It's really a shame because the rest of the mouse is perfect. But, without a functional left-click, it goes right into trash. It was my first and last corsair mouse.
Returned product. I really wanted to support Corsair and loved their hardware. The design of this mouse is great, really fits well in the hand and the buttons are placed in nice spots. What kills the whole Corsair line for me is their CUE software (Corsair Utility Engine). The software is plagued with issues, a quick search online will show you this.
My issue in particular was my programmed buttons on the mouse would randomly stop working, and I'd have to restart the software. This would occur even halfway through a game. Their tech support was unable to resolve the issue. The CUE software really kills the whole peripheral line for Corsair.
I was in love with this mouse when I first got it. I left a five-star review, sadly I will have to change that today. After a few months of use, my left click is broken for no reason at all. It's unresponsive very frequently at random times! Every 4th or 5th click I make doesn't register. Whether I'm editing a video or playing some games, I will miss a few clicks! Sometimes it happens that two or three clicks in a row never register. This is very annoying! WhenI'm dragging over clips to my timeline or slicing them, this really agitates my workflow. When I'm online playing an FPS and I can't shoot other players... I can't.
The mouse was amazing while it worked and the reviews looked great. After having the mouse for less than a month, there would be intermittent issues with the left click not registering which progressed into being every time you attempted to input a left click. Looking further into Corsair forums and other user reviews its very clear that this has been an issue not only with this mouse in particular but instead the original M65 as well; Meaning instead of releasing an updated hardware/fix they instead did a recolor and rebranded it to the "pro" in which they could get more sales from repeat M65 customers. Not worth going through the RMA process as it will simply happen again. Recommend going with Logitech. Unfortunate as have had no other issues with performance and or quality from Corsair.
This new mouse from corsair is missing a crucial feature. There is no liftoff adjustment. I can't use this mouse as I often lift it up at an angle on my mat and the cursor is jumpy when I put it back flat. Another negative point is the top buttons are so sensitive that the weight of my fingers constantly makes clicks. I cannot rest comfortably on the mouse beacause of that, gives me cramp in the fingers. I would have loved to be able to use this mouse... X-Y independent axis speed, awesome, but alas the negatives points overshadow.
This mouse feels really solid and I actually like it and found I could aim well with it even though it's a bit too heavy. However, I had a issue with the left mouse button that made it unusable for me.
Every once in a while pressing left mouse button once would cause it to continue firing on it's own as if I were holding the button down. It would only stop when I pressed it again. I searched for possible solutions online but nothing worked for me. I refunded the mouse and bought another one hoping my first one was defective but the new one also has the same problem.
**A friend of mine purchased this mouse recently and he has the same issue with the left click auto-firing... I would caution against buying this mouse.
Honestly. It has an amazing feel and the weight is what I consider to be ideal for my large hand, it makes it so that I feel in control with my wrist motion and it is overall still a good product imo.
But jesus. The mouse just gives out within a couple months of use. I've had this issue for a little over 2 months now and this is my SECOND purchase. First mouse crapped out for the same exact reason but I thought it was an anomaly. unfortunately it was just the way it is designed.
To "click" the mouse has this metal piece that is bent 90 degrees to the plastic piece that u use to push down. If you are someone who uses mouse 1 very frequently ( I play csgo ), this wears out insanely quick. Right now if i click it too hard it will hold mouse 1 until I click it a couple times, so if you're fighting someone and you stop to fix your accuracy, the gun keeps shooting as the mouse is stuck using mouse1.
I would not recommend this product if you use it for fps games, however. it is still a solid product for any mmo or casual players. I use this for lans and competitive gaming so it is not an ideal mouse due to its malfunctions for me.
I'm starting to exhibit the left mouse button issue that many are having. I can hear it click but it does not register. Right now its not that bad but I feel it will get worse. I just need to push harder on the button. Also I noticed the mouse disconnected on me a few times. The RGB turns off and no input for about 2 seconds then it comes back to life. This is not what I expected from Corsair and for the price. I have an older mouse that I paid $10 for 5 years ago and its still working without issues. Its too bad because the mouse feels great in the hand and looks great.
