I bought this specifically for a bike packing trip and used one as a base for my tent for 3 days camping in freezing cold temps and rain. It served well to keep the ground water from seeping onto the tent and kept me warmer inside the tent than without any ground cover. The extremely thin Mylar was durable enough to last 3 nights AND be folded up with my tent but finally ripped the last night. If I were to go out again, I would bring 2, one for ground cover and the other to wrap around myself. The temps dropped colder than I anticipated one night and I would’ve been warm using one as an actual blanket!
Honestly, doesn't seem to be any different from the others so World's Toughest Emergency Blankets????? I don't believe it to be true. They do, however, come nicely individualy packaged but so do other brands. Its a decent product and simply your standard emergency blanket. From what I can tell, nothing more. If you believe them to be less expensive buy them if not buy something else. It'll probably be the same quality. I was sold on the, "World's Toughest," and can't see any significant difference.
Advertised as the worlds toughest space blankets. As far as I can tell, not any more durable than the cheapest ones on market. Also was not marked with any branding on the blanket. The varying bags are cute, but offer little value add other than making it a more presentable gift. Don’t waste your money.
Testing this blanket alone as my sleeping source in below freezing temperatures and snowfall, this blanket did its job. Didn't think it was working due to the fact that I was still very cold during the night. But upon waking up and seeing the ice and snow around me I could tell that I would have been a lot colder had this blanket not done its job. It is by no means something to keep you warm and toasty but it does allow you to survive the night (I use two, one below me and one on top). They take up little space and are easy to have as a just in case item; great addition to the bug out bag. Durability is actually good as long as your careful.
I’ve seen a lot of different companies and sellers on Amazon selling emergency Mylar blankets and they were either more expensive or lesser in quality. For the price you get four blankets all in their own pouches; I’ve recently started putting together a bug out bag and this is a great addition for the utility you can get out of four good quality blankets. Was also cool half of the sale went to charity!
