Testing this blanket alone as my sleeping source in below freezing temperatures and snowfall, this blanket did its job. Didn't think it was working due to the fact that I was still very cold during the night. But upon waking up and seeing the ice and snow around me I could tell that I would have been a lot colder had this blanket not done its job. It is by no means something to keep you warm and toasty but it does allow you to survive the night (I use two, one below me and one on top). They take up little space and are easy to have as a just in case item; great addition to the bug out bag. Durability is actually good as long as your careful.
Don't know that you would get multiple uses. It is a better than some of the thinner mylar blankets. I like that is has an orange side. Could be used to signal. Good to have just in case because you never know when something might happen.
Thicker than most. still protect from wind. not a tarp. NOT a blanket for any real warmth but good wind protection in a pinch. reflects body heat but not insulating in itself. Moisture buildup inside after short time as it is water proof, both ways. Still superior to most "emergency" Mylar "blankets". High vis color is excellent.
I bought these to keep in my truck. Since they are for emergencies, I haven't used any yet. They are lightweight and compact and take up little space. I figure they are like any other emergency blanket and are good in a pinch, but aren't meant for long term use. The carry bag is sturdy so no fear of it tearing up like the plastic bags most of these come jn.
The main container, while interesting and useful before using the product, will need re-purposing or disposal. The individual blankets have their own reusable containers which provides convenient storage between multiple uses of the product. The effectiveness of the blankets is questionable as I haven't had an emergency which requires their use so I have no input. However, I assume they work and I will share them with family and friends.
