Sturdy feel, good value and looks great!

I researched like a madman for a high quality door handle set. I didn't expect this. I wanted powder coated hardware for durability versus painted hardware that will wear off over time. The seller responded quickly that these were indeed powder coated (Seller-you may want to update your description as this is important). I ordered all types- Dummy (Non moving for closet doors), Locking and non locking. When they arrived I could tell they were quality by the weight. I mean these are solid high quality metal that feels NICE. Typical German mentality and engineering. Well thought out and magnificently manufactured. These guys are not messing around. The packaging is top notch as well. Easily displayed manufactured in Berlin with concise and easy to comprehend instructions. No Chinglish and guessing how to install.
I used a laser level for accurate handle height as others in the room. I also used a speed square to make certain the square handles were completely parallel to the door for a nice finished look. I don't understand how they are selling these as this cost. I suspect since it's a new product on Amazon, they are wanting to build up reviews then perhaps raise the price. Just a guess...I suggest grabbing these now prior to the price shooting up. I am. I am not being paid for this. I don't know the seller. I thought these were coming from China and am pleasantly surprised in every way!

Mercedes Quality of Door Hardware

I love the look of this handle and deadbolt set, but after only a few months of use it is completely broken! When it was first installed, we noticed that the rubber seal around the piece that turns to use the deadbolt was loose and would turn more than was necessary to get the deadbolt set. The installers who put in the door and new handle mentioned that they did not recommend purchasing this type of thing from Amazon because they have a lot of issues, but unfortunately I decided to ignore their advise and keep this one that I had purchased.
We had a lot of issues getting the door to lock and unlock over the past few months. The deadbolt lock has been so difficult to get to close and open, no matter the weather (although it is increasingly difficult in the winter). In addition to the issues at the beginning and throughout, after using it for only 4 months now, the handle for the deadbolt spins completely around 180 degrees and does not catch at all to make the deadbolt come out, making it completely useless. We will be uninstalling this and purchasing one from Home Depot instead to put in. What a waste of money!
The Door handle was a breeze to install and took almost no effort at all.
The Deadbolt was a bit more tricky since there are not guiding stems on the Deadbolt pieces unlike the Door handle which is very easy to align.
I took some fidgeting but, in the end it looks precisely how I was hoping.
The mechanical parts function and glide seamlessly.
I like the look and feel of this product so much I've decided to outfit my whole home with them.
The only thing which could be a turn off to some buyers is that they are all keyed differently, so if you were wanting 1 key for all the external doors of your home, that does not appear to be a thing.
OK...right out the box you know that this is a solid handle...it's quite heavy and well made. It took all of 1/2 hour for me to take out the old handle and get this installed. It's hefty, and the craftsmanship is amazing. Well built...well made...and it looks good. Fingerprint resistant and you can just wipe it off with a cloth should it get dirty. SOLID!!

OK...right out the box you know that this is a solid handle...it's quite heavy and well made. It took all of 1/2 hour for me to take out the old handle and get this installed. It's hefty, and the craftsmanship is amazing. Well built...well made...and it looks good. Fingerprint resistant and you can just wipe it off with a cloth should it get dirty. I suggest you buy the blank keys as I had a difficult time getting an extra key made.

Solid and stylish

My son recently welded us a modern front gate for our southern exposure walled courtyard and we were looking for a more modern looking handle as opposed to standard and ugly gate hardware. We didn't need the locking feature (you can jump over the wall), but we weren't sure if the interior passage door handle would hold up to the elements outside. Compared to the big name brand handles, this is a cheaper and nicer choice. It feels very solid and heavy. It even came with a free stick on drywall protector plate.
The installation was easy, although not traditional as we were working with metal and not a standard wood door. So the little anti-twist protrusions that would bite into the wood a bit had to be filed off. A quick coat of spray paint made the matte black match the dark walnut of our gate and house accents. This is a great value for the money, like the other reviews said it is heavy and feels substantial like a higher quality handle. It’s much heavier than KwikSet. They come keyed separately so if you want to key multiple lock sets the same you have to take them to a quality locksmith because they are German and apparently the key is not common. I bought two sets for my garage and had them keyed to my Baldwin lock set on my front door so I only need one key for all doors. The locksmith I used had three guys looking at it trying to figure out what key to use but they found it, total cost was $45 for all the locks, I thought that was a fair price. They were pretty much locksmith nerds and said the inner working quality was not high quality, about the same level as KwikSet but the handle and finish were good. They were referring to how long it would last before it would have to be replaced. You get what you pay for in door handles and locks and the more they get used the faster they wear out. This is a good quality product, I’m happy with it.

So I'm really happy that the seller handled this for me right of way! I love the handle it is really nice looking it matches with my kwikset smart door lock key.
Black may fit you decor, and may have an old-time 'blacksmith' look (it may also be a modern look - don't get me wrong!). You may want stainless steel for a brighter look. Otherwise it's a great handle - a 'stick' handle is easier to open than a round knob, and it has rounded edges making it comfortable on the hands.
For the privacy locks -- for bedrooms and bathrooms, in the instructions they have it with the push-lock and key hole facing up. This might be slightly easier, as, if it's down, people who are not acquainted with this type of lock might have to look for it for a couple of seconds (it's under the handle -- with other handles, it's in the center of the handle) . You might have to switch around the handles to get it that way, but that is fine -- they come off easily with a little screw (and then hold on well, when tightened).
Another point not to forget is that there is a little metal plate which goes inside. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but if the manufacturer included it, it must have a purpose. Look in the instructions for which way it goes.
