I bought this multi-card reader because of the usb-c connection, and it had slots for the three types of cards I have for digital cameras used over many years before switching completely to phone. The connection to my windows 10 laptop and performance transferring photos from the cards was great. However, while the reader accepted CF and SD cards, it would not accept/read a Memory Stick card. Most of my cards are CF and SD so I'll keep the device. Luckily, the old digital camera still works so I can transfer that way. I paid a bit more for usb-c and simultaneous card reading, but am disappointed that the unit I received won't work with all advertised cards.
I bought this particular reader because it has a CF drive reader. I recently found some CF drives that I thought I'd lost over many moves and wanted to transfer the photos to a backup archive. But they do not fit through the slot in the case. I don't want to ruin it, so I'm returning. Although I don't have any MMC cards now, it also has a reader for those. Great idea for those of us with ancient media, but worthless if you can't fit them into the reader.
I used it a handful of times. It has been useful every time I used it. However, within two months of having it I did notice that it would not power up all the time. Eventually, it just went dead. I reached out to the seller/manufacturer, and they took care of me. Thank you!
I believe the first time I tried a new card in this reader it ruined the card as one of the wire pegs was broken, I had to replace the card. Not cheap. I was able to bend it back into place and use for awhile in a pinch, but it kept bending and having errors while reading card. Would not recommend this product.
