I bought this product for my mum as her neck was hurting, and I got to say, its incredible. After the first use of it, she said her neck felt relaxed and it was needed. Best to say, I made the right choice with the purchase since she still uses it everyday.
The convenience of having this at any time you need is great. With the handles, its so easy to massage yourself. Love that I can use it when I am watching TV or just sitting down doing laundry or by the computer. You can easily target problem areas such as neck, shoulders, upper & lower back back, legs, etc. My husband and I use this daily now after coming home from work. Helps to make you feel comfortable and pain/ache free thus helps you have a goodnight sleep as well.
I purchased this to help relieve some of my mother's neck / back pain, and so far she is liking it very much. The massager feels very premium with a leather exterior and seems durable enough to last a very long time. The unit has three buttons; a power on/off, heat on/off, and a rotation switch button. Unlike traditional full back massagers which you place on a chair and do not have control over the strength of the massage, this massager's strength can be easily controlled by using your arms and either pulling towards or away from you using the arm slings. As per the instructions this massager should only be used for 15 minutes session and this seems to be a perfect duration. Another nice feature was when massaging, the unit runs in one direction for a minute, then automatically switches direction to keep the massage interesting.
This style of shiatsu massager with the arm straps is fantastic as the arm straps provide more flexibility than your typical pillow style massager. Also, the arm straps make targeting upper back and shoulders much easier than trying to lean against a pillow massager and for mid or lower back, you can just fold the straps and lean on it against the back of a chair like a pillow massager, essentially getting the best of both worlds.
Using the armstraps in the intended manner will allow you to pull as hard or as little as you want to for pressure which is great, but I found it gets a bit tiring after a while if you have to pull on them hard. I also think that taller people may find the straps a bit too short to use comfortably so something to consider if you're a taller individual.
The unit is simple to use as it only has 3 controls. Power on/off, heat on/off and lock rotation direction. By default, the unit alternates rotation every 60 seconds and will run for 15 minutes before automatically shutting off. Control placement is not ideal and should be placed lower on the strap as where they are now, it's impossible to adjust the controls when your arms are in the straps. That said, it appears where they've placed the controls seems pretty par for the course as all of the other models I looked at have the controls placed in the exact same location.
The unit is covered by a 2 year warranty which seems better than average and the instruction manual is well written which was unexpected as many of these products have manuals with broken English. It also comes with a 12v car cigarette plug in in the event you want to use it in the car.
I have this guy tied around the back of the chair using some twine, essentially using it as a pillow massager but having the arms tied around the back of the chair helps to holds the massager in place. I can then slide the massager up and down the back of the chair as needed to tackle whichever area is bothering me and it's much easier than trying to keep the pillow style massager pinned against the back of the chair and having to reposition the massager every time I get up and sit down again.
Given the many different ways that you can use this massager I think this is a better buy than a pillow style massager as this one allows you to do everything that the pillow massager can do, but more.
* More flexible than a pillow massager as the arms can fold in and you can then use it like a pillow massager thereby getting the best of both worlds. * Arm straps allow precise placement and adjustable pressure, especially upper back and shoulders where a pillow massager is harder to use. * Arm straps can be tied together around the back of a chair by using some twine, eliminating the juggling act of trying to pin a pillow massager against the back of your chair while trying to use it or having to reposition the massager again when you get up and sit down again. My review photos show how I've rigged this. * Powerful motor allows the massager to really attack the knots as hard as you can tolerate. * 2 year warranty helps provide peace of mind and is better than the other units which typically only offer a 1 year warranty.
* Controls should be moved lower on the strap loop as where they are now is impossible to operate when using the arm straps. * Arm straps work well for shorter people, but taller people will find the straps a bit short * Included AC cord could be longer.
I got to use on a daily basis for my neck and shoulders in between my massage visits. The heat option, auto switch to go from clockwise to counter clockwise are must haves. I use this on my lower back and it works just as great.
This one was almost half the price of the one my relative had so was initially skeptical while buying it. But in the end we were pleasantly surprised at the build quality. Have used it a few times now and I am able to put good pressure to have the effects of a deep tissue massage. I work in front of a computer all day so using this for 10 minutes at the end if the day helps relieve the tension in my shoulders.
Bought as a gift and it has been in use from time to time ever since presented. The heater is a bit of a "meh", but it DOES heat.... just that its not an attraction. Call it "gentle" to be kind. Otherwise it appears (literally) to work as advertised. I've tried it and it is interesting. Maybe it needs more time to grow on me. However, for the intended recipient its been an unqualified success. Women seem to get the most out of this. I like it some, but its massage movements are not quite what I like. Chalk it up to "its personal" and might be be more attractive to the female gender. The end user raves about it, and in the end thats all that matters.
Device seems to be of high-quality. Outer body made of high-quality vinyl, and looks like it will hold up for quite a while. Motor is powerful. Unlike the older generation of "vibration massage devices", this unit actually performs a "real" massage, using a combination of pressure and movement via the motorized rotating ball-like massage tips. The arm pads make is extremely easy to hit all the hard-to-reach areas of the lower back, mid-back, and neck, in addition to adjusting pressure as needed. No more having rely on those "back-scratcher-type" message tools, where the entire process is uncomfortable and difficult. My wife and I take turns going back and forth while watching Netflix or Prime, making movie-time all the more relaxing. The only caveat, at this point, is that I am unable to speak to the longevity of the unit --- Having only owned it for a short while, only time will tell whether the motor holds up over an extended period of use. Otherwise, this is a great massage tool for the back and neck.
