Disappointing...Not truly compatible with Elite Controller
Reviewed in Australia on 7 May 2020
This seemed like a great charging solution for my Xbox. The description says it works with the Elite Controller, but I have found that to only be partially true. In order to get the Elite to charge, I have to remove the rear paddles, otherwise the battery contacts don't sit on the charger properly, so it won't charge. The paddles are small and easily lost, so I would prefer to not have to remove them every time I charge the controller. It looks like I may have to come up with some sort of workaround so that the controller can be charged without removing the paddles.
This makes this product a disappointment.
A couple of other notes:
- It does NOT come with a power brick. It only has a micro-USB cable, the charger itself, and four batteries. This is fine if you plan to plug it into one of your Xbox USB ports, but it wasn't clear in the product description.
- The green lights flash when charging. All four flash out of sequence with one another, so it is kind of an eyesore. I would have preferred something more subtle.
- I guess it does the job, but I am glad I got this on sale and didn't pay full price for it.
