The phone itself stopped working after just a few months. It won't power up or charge. The phone is completely dead. The service itself was poor when it worked. Voice cuts in and out, lots of call lag, and people I called complained about how I sounded. Canceling the service was a huge hassle. You can't cancel online through their chat or email. They force you to call them where you: 1) Wait on hold for an extremely long time 2) Speak to a support rep who tries to sell you more services 3) Have to wait on hold AGAIN while they transfer you to a different rep who handles cancellations 4) Again try to get upsold on more services I caution against anyone using this service. It's a typical trap where they provide you with poor/cheap equipment and service, then make it a huge hassle to get your money back or cancel. I wish I never bought this.
The voice quality of its handset is so-so. Nothing to write home about. You may not be able to hear some callers clearly.
One more thing. Ooma as a company periodically doubles or triples your monthly bill, claiming you -- its customer -- did this. It's hoping you won't notice. The issue cannot be easily resolved in the company's online customer service chat. So just watch your Ooma bill ... closely.
