I have not been able to put it down and probably will read it a few more times. If you like werewolf books especially once that have possessive alpha males in it. A must read. There were some spelling mistakes, but gladly overlooked them.
Beasty is a worthy follow-up to 'Mated to the Alpha King'. This story sees the story of Romanoff and his Soul-mate Olivia attempting to find their way to their happily-ever-after. Of course all is complicated by two very stubborn mates, a curse and an evil, vengeful spirit. Throw in our ever colourful group of friends, Bryce, Thea, Matthew and a whole crop of new characters and this is a book worth reading!!!
I did not have the pleasure of reading the first book in the series. A first by this Author and a wonderful surprise as I did not know what to expect. There is a lot happening in this book that has an excellent plot and storyline and includes a curse and a vengeful spirit. The two stubborn main characters have to jump many hurdles before their happily every after. The secondary characters are vivid and colourful and do enhance and support the storyline. The story did capture and held my attention even though the book needs editing. More research needs to be done on the different countries where the story takes place in, as there are no familiar named buildings, landmarks, roads or scenery that is mentioned. A moot point. There are no tropical reptiles to be found in Berlin, except in the zoo.
I truly did enjoy this book and the previous in the series. Yes there are a lot of spelling and grammar errors that sometimes make the story hard to follow but the connections made by the characters and their stories are very good.
In terms of story line, I feel like there were some holes. Example: River.... 1. how did he survive? 2. How was he turned? 3. How is he now an alpha king? (Unless I missed something, this left me very confused) There are other loose ends but again overall, I am a fan and will read her next book.
This is the first book I have read by this author, but it won't be the last. I found the story very interesting, and engaging. I found the characters believable, and wanted to learn their stories.
What this book needs is an editor. Although easy to read and understand, the book contained many awkwardly phrased sentences. Also there were no landmarks. It is set in Berlin, but there's nothing mentioned that lets you "feel" Germany. And I don't believe Berlin has an alligator infested lake.
