I got abdominal lipo at the worst time possible - 5 days before the coronavirus outbreak in NY. Everything was functioning normally until a few days later so my one week follow up was canceled as the clinic had closed (which I completely agreed with). I followed my doctors instructions and religiously wore my compression garment but I started seeing really bad lumps and bumps two weeks into my recovery. The recommendation was to get lymphatic drainage massage but unsurprisingly, all those were closed. So out of desperation, I ordered these foam pads thinking maybe it would help. Well, IT DID! Within 3-5 days, I saw a HUGE difference in the lumps and bumps and a week later, they’re basically gone. They’re not uncomfortable at all and yes, they do get yellow after long time use but I’m telling you THIS is what you need for a flat belly after lipo. Forget everything else, THIS is what you need!
I recently had fat grafting and needed liposuction of the abdomen and flanks. I did a lot of research and discovered that not only was compression important, but using lipo foam would be beneficial. It adds a bit more compression, with added benefit of absorbing excess lipo liquid that often leaks out. It also helped prevent indentations from the clips on my compression suit. I didn't want the indentations to become permanent. I also found that the foam added protection from pinching from the compression bands often given to wear after surgery. I tried sleeping on my side without the foam ( while drying), and found the discomfort intolerable. The lipo foam can be hand washed and air dried. There are more expensive brands, but this brand worked perfectly for me.
This is sturdy foam and has give but bounces back well! I highly recommend it! You can also cut it if needed to fit your torso. Try wrapping your foam in Saran Wrap to protect it from getting stained by blood!
These foam pads are great to place underneath your "faja" and helps with the reduction of the liposuction. You need this to compress against your skin and not feel those edges from your garment. They are long and big enough to cover tummy area.
They were thin and kinda of soft so I reordered the Contour brand because I didn’t want it to not work now I haven’t had surgery yet so I can’t give an honest opinion about if they work or not so I’ll update my review after surgery
I JUST opened it and their is hair stuck from inside the foam. Aren’t these supposed to be sanitary if they are going across surgical wounds? I just saw another piece and it has tiny black hairs in it too. This is gross
