There are several instances where I've needed to plug in a USB type C cable in restricted space, like the back of a bluetooth speaker, phone on a stand, phone on its side while I'm laying in bed... well, there are 2 solutions, this (a right angle adapter) or a down angle adapter - each have their uses, this is useful if your connection has to go "sideways" rather than "back"
As these work with data as well as power, they're great for anything that has limited space but needs a type C connector
I use these and down angle adapters for many devices, laptops, phones, speakers and I'd be lost without these connectors - I have LOADS of cables that have the angled ends, but often you need to change the direction, so it's easier to have a regular cable and swap out the adapter!
Fabulous little connectors that suit your needs if you have a tight space to put a cable in
Bought this to allow the Bluetooth adapter from the SteelSeries Arctis 7P gaming headphones to fit my phone without removing the case. It does the job! Essentially, the SteelSeries is for gaming, with the PS5, but also works with other devices if you plug the type c Bluetooth adapter into it. Due to the size I had to remove the case each time, but with this Extender I no longer need to.
I have a laptop with a USB-C docking station. Unfortunately the cable from this has a straight connector, which means this rather inflexible cable protrudes from the side of the machine, taking up unnecessary space. This adapter allow the cable to lie towards the rear of my desk. Problem solved!
I ended up using both of these, one for a PC motherboard (the USB C cable I use is flimsy and this mad the connection super sturdy). The other one is used for my keyboard as the connector on it is on the right and this perfectly leaves a right angled termination for a custom Keyboard cable.
