Need a really clean, super smooth wall for the suction cups to stick. Takes a little experimenting to adjust tilt angles, segment overlaps, and run lengths before turns to make this work. Our toddler uses this every bath time.
If the use will be for water flowing down, as opposed to the balls and beans, adjust the angles/slopes to be more gradual for water, as the settings for balls and beans will cause the water to shoot out of the turns. On the flip side, if this adjusted for water, the beans won't flip well. Not a criticism, but an observation.
The waterwheels don't spin too freely
This all said, I would purchase this for another toddler, knowing limitations
Overall a cute bath toy. I bought this as one of my sons birthday presents and he enjoyed it. The suction cups stay for the most part and it was relatively easy to set up. It comes with round and oval balls, but they are rather small. Definitely have to be careful if younger kids get their hands on them. Also, since the track takes small balls, my kids can’t really use any other other water toys or bath balls with it. I would definitely recommend this for kids 4 and up.
Just got the product and my two year old boy loves it. I do have a few complaints... I wish it had stop ends so you could put an end like you start with on the end of the track so the balls stop on the track. One of the bean balls broke on the first drop so I would like to be able to buy more. The wheels do not work well for the balls? So I don’t know if I’m not doing it right or not? I do think this will make batch time very enjoyable.
Overall we've been pleased with this bath toy. I specifically ordered this one because the pieces are open half-pipes, so I can clean them and prevent mildew growth inside (the death of bath toys around here). I was pleasantly surprised with how large and sturdy the pipes are. My kids love rolling the balls down them and spinning the water wheels, and so far they've survived 2 toddlers well. Our only tiny complaint is the suction cups don't click in very easily to the pipes and keep sliding out, but otherwise very happy with this product!
I love the idea of this toy SO much. I think I was more excited to receive it than my son was. Although, I am extremely disappointed that it doesn’t suction in our tub because our walls have slight grooves in them. :( so if your walls have any funky divots or what not, it probably won’t work. We improvised and stuck it in the bathtub itself. We still have fun creating different obstacles!
All good except the spinny thing we never got to work in any configuration. The ball will fall off without it spinning and fall off the track. But we just leave it out, the rest of it works well and my kid enjoys it a lot.
These are cool, and they work pretty well with the balls that come with them. For water, the sides aren't high enough and it shoots out at the first turn. Also, the suction cups don't stick very well to my bathtub wall or my refrigerator. However, my kids love this. A product doesn't have to work perfectly to be a lot of fun. I recommend these to my clients (I'm a preschool teacher).
My kiddo definitely enjoys it. I have glass walls in my master shower so the suction cups worked very well. When I set it up in the other shower with fiberglass walls, suction cups held on for a bit but eventually noticed it was coming off. Can be pretty much set up in any configuration. Suction cups could be better to work in smooth fiberglass shower walls.
