it worked ok on my chest, best shave I ever got there though it wasn't as close as a regular razor. I tried it on my stomach (I am quite round there) and got the worst cuts I've ever gotten. thankfully they weren't painful. If you're flatter I reckon it would work better but for me I'm not sure it was/is worth the money.
I really was excited to use this. My wife likes a smooth look on me. My hair will grow like a jungle on my chest if I let it go. This Bakblade body shaver does a reasonable job. It will work well if you glide it through large areas of hair. It takes it out like a lawn mower in one or two swipes with little irritation. The hard to reach crevice areas , not so much. You will need a standard razor to do that. The Bakblade simply can't reach areas between the chest fold and clavicle vertebra regions under the neck and around the shoulders. Under arms it can't reach either. The pubic region except for the top is a no go too. I tested this in the shower with hot water running and some shaving gel so I really moistened and wicked up the body hairs to give the Bakblade its best chance. Over all it works with no cuts or nicks for large easy to reach areas. Again, you will need an additional razor to complete the job. Overall, 3 stars.
3.0 out of 5 starsI will have to do the body shaving

Because the hubby sure isn't going to do it. I can hear him already going "ouch" over and over again. He is such a drama queen. When we go on vacation, he always wants his upper body hair, front and back removed. We have used a depilatory several times in the past and I am hoping that this will be better for removing the front and back hair. I wouldn't recommend using a razor dry. You could get a rash burn
3.0 out of 5 starsMight work for some, but not so much for me

It seems this works for some, but not so much for me. I tried to use it on my chest, and the cutting wasn't smooth, leaving hairs behind. The extra blade to use in sensitive areas like around my nipples didn't work as well either.
Like I said it might work for some, but not so much for me. Think I'll stick to my disposable razors.
I immediately ordered this for touch up of other areas after using the Bakblade 2.0, which is excellent. Unfortunately this one seems hastily designed and manufactured as a way to get more money out of us. It does have potential, but it needs a lot of work. It comes with a suction cup hanger for the shower. Unfortunately this hanger was designed for the Bakblade, so it does not hold the Bodblade well. Also, the blades are at a very awkward angle, which makes it very difficult to use in many places. I found it impossible to use without causing multiple nicks and scrapes, which is huge in contrast to the Bakblade, which didn't nick or scrape me even once on my first use. Overall, I'm quite disappointed in this.
