We just hosted an event with designer Thom Filicia and these mics were excellent for our needs. The sound was clear, no feedback or frequency issues. They were extremely easy to charge and set up with my equalizer. We used a set of 300 watt speakers from Alto for a space holding 100+ people and the event was a great success. Thanks Alvoxcom for the great mic system!
Update!! Since using these mics twice now, there is a defect I wish to point out. One of the mics slowly drops it's output volume to zero after 30 minutes of use. This has happened twice, most recently during a meet and greet event with designer Bobby Berk. It was very frustrating to watch a celebrity struggle to be heard well into an interview in front of 100 guests. I'm hoping the manufacturer will assist me in correcting this issue.
I liked how easy this product is to use. It works every time and is simple. It doesn't capture very clean audio, there is a lot of other noise in the recording, and quite a good deal of microphone/connection noise from cheap equipment. I would return it, but I'm outside the return window. For the videos I make it isn't good enough, so I am having to make another purchase, however, if you aren't looking for professional quality sound this would work OK for the price.
Very easy to use, but audio is pretty much unusable. Tried changing channels but no difference. Loud background noise. I used a $6 wired lavalier mic to compare and the cheap wired mike was clearly superior. I wanted to love it but it was no good. After purchase I noticed several reviewers mentioned the same issue
Bought this because of the price. When I plug it into my mixer, the audio quality is ok. I have to really adjust my mixer to bring out the audio. Be advised, you might have to put in some filters in your software because there is always a persistent humm and fuzz.
Honestly, if you are just starting out, this is fine. But if you have the money, buy a professional series because they work much much better.
I really liked the build quality of the product and the sound quality. But the battery on the receiver dies very quickly (less than 2 hours of use). The transmitter battery lasts much longer, and there are two transmitters which you can use one after the other.
I'd be happy, if they just include 2 compatible receivers in the box, so we can quickly replace it and get going if first one dies.
It’s alright but everything and it’s mother can cause interference. Not the best for weddings since everyone is using their phones. You MIGHT have a shot outdoors but I wouldn’t take this to a paying gig. Testing it in the house with all phones off, still had interference because of my router. So it’ll work perfectly if there were no other electronics on.
Since there is only one receiver both microphones are "blended". If one person speaks louder the recording has to be manually edited. Ok for one person, not great for two people at the same time. Very low price so I shouldn't expect much I guess.
The product arrived quickly and was incredibly easy to set up. Unfortunately the sound quality was poor and as a result I contacted customer service. Allen, the customer service representative was incredibly responsive and worked extremely hard to troubleshoot my issues. This company truly values its customers and works to keep them satisfied!
These were exceptionally easy to get set up however there was substantial white noise that was difficult to manage gain to remove it (I did but the sound was incredibly low by then) and it proved a challenge to remove in post. Eventually I returned them and got a set of comica’s which worked great
