The product itself is good, I have a 24inch and a 27 inch, it would've been nice to position them one above the other but they have other monitor stands for that purpose. This build is good, installation is easy. You do have to tighten the up down elbow allot in order for the monitors to hold their vertical position but it works and thats all that matters. Only complaint is both VIVO-AU and Amazon could not provide a Tax Invoice which I needed to claim back WFH expenses due to our current working conditions. But Amazon did offer an alternative which kinda indirectly makes up for it on my next Amazon purchase.
It's one of the best investments you can make if you have a dual monitor setup like me. I used to keep the monitors on my desk thinking I don't have enough work space. I was looking for a good monitor stands for two of my 24" monitors and after using it for about 2 months, I'll say this is a very good product. Plenty of work space on my desk now and you get 2 USB 3.0 ports built into the stand which is amazing. A must buy if you constantly need more work space on your desk or just like it to look neat and tidy from monitor stands!
I've been using this stand for a while now, and while it's been great, I'd caution that it's not really optimal if using it with 27" widescreen (16:9) monitors. Partly because as you might suspect, having 2 large monitors side by side limits the range of positions you can keep the arms in, but also because unless you have particularly light monitors, you will have to tighten all the adjustors on all the vertical-movement joints (the tension-adjustment at the middle of the arm, as well as the rotating-hinge at then end where it connects to the vesa mount) in order to be able to hold a heavier monitor up. Once you tighten them the monitor stays at the height and rotation you put it at, but the amount of tightening required makes them feel relatively fixed in position, and I get a bit worried at the amount of force I have to exert against the monitor to adjust/tilt it now. I'm still giving this a 4-star rating since if like me you don't really reposition your monitors often this isn't much of a problem, but it does dramatically change how you can use it - in contrast my coworker has the same stand used for 2 smaller, lighter 24" widescreen monitors, and since he can keep the joints looser, the stand is a very different beast. The tension joints for him sort of provide neutral gravity by countering gravity, and the joints themselves are loose, so he can move his monitors around easily with one finger, flip them around, etc.
For reference, the monitors I'm using are the QNIX 2710 which is10.2lbs according to the specs (not sure if that includes the stand or not) and the Dell S2716DG which is 9.70 lb (4.40 kg) without stand.
Also the hinge at the end of the arm that fixes to the vesa-mount has a bit of play that can't be removed by tightening, so when I tilt the monitor, I typically have to overadjust by 10-15 degrees on the pitch axis because it's going to "fall back" about that much when I let go.
Bought it for the office: one black and one silver. For the price i did not expect something as strong, heavy and robust as I have received. It has been a week we installed them in the office and nothing to say but positive feedback. You can play with the handles without any problems, just need to adjust their strenght for the weight of your monitor. Just make sure you buy the adapter brackets for the monitors models. Would definetly recommend
This was the second I’ve purchased, they both were perfect, hold 2 monitors nicely and totally flexible to meet my needs from day to day as they change. The first one I’ve had for over one year, this was the second VIVO desk and adjustable monitor mount that I’ve purchased. Both spectacular!
My first one had 2 USB extensions that are quite handy as they come out right where the base meets the desk, I easily found a work around as I’ve grown accustomed to having them there on my other desk.
Great product, would not hesitate to purchase again! 👍👍👍
I have a built in desk and think I should have mounted it further away from the wall as in order to have it close to the wall the monitor has to be too high. I think if it wasn’t up against a wall it would work much better. It’s very sturdy and well built but not ideal for my situation.
The item picture you see is all camera trickery. If you plan on mounting these on the edge of the table, make sure you have at least 6" of clearance from the back of the table to the wall behind it. If you plan on drilling the table to install the mount while having the table next to the back wall (Like I did), the minimum clearance you need is 6 inches. Its an ok unit. Mine came with dents and scratches. Buying 2 individual arms would've been a better deal (Since this doesn't have that much flexibility).
The dual monitor stand is high quality, durable, and easily adjustable. It allowed me to mount two 27" monitors to my desk. I didn't realize that the bottom clamp was made out of metal which would've been an issue for me since I have a glass desk but I just placed two wooden blocks on either side of the glass which has worked out great!
