I can understand sellers of generic power supplies might be like this, but this is "CanaKit Raspberry Pi 4 Power Supply (USB-C)." Shouldn't a power supply directly intended for the RPi world include an on/off switch inline? Especially CanaKit - I expected more.
I forgot this power supply did not come with an on/off switch. It makes the rPi just that much more cumbersome to use, when you need to do a shutdown, and then go over to the wall and unplug the device. I wound up returning it and getting one that does have a switch ... was the same price. Come on CanaKit, can't you please start putting a switch on these things? Thanks for any consideration you can give this request.
This is a basic USB-C power cord for a Raspberry Pi 4 (or most any other device that will take USB-C for power). Plug it in and it works. There is no in-line switch, not does it say it has one, so don't be disappointed that it doesn't have one.
If this is what you're looking for, then go ahead and buy one. I have two and they work just fine.
