To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I will update this review if I can ever get it to work. I purchased it to use with a Raspberry Pi 4 running Raspbian Buster. It had great reviews so I figured it would work right out of the box. I was wrong. No matter what I try it will not work. I get a ‘no signal’ box in the middle of the screen. In the description it says it will work on the Raspberry Pi 4 with no additional drivers needed. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. I’ve tried everything I can think of (and lots of suggestions online). Nothing seems to work. I left a question and hope the manufacturer or someone that has it working on the Pi 4 will answer it with instructions. Until then I can not give this more than 1 star.
I bought this to switch between a few raspberry PIs that usually run headless. It worked great, for about a month and a half, and then stopped. Upon closer examination, the ribbon cable that connects from the board to the IPS panel had fractured, just from the stress of being handled from time to time. It makes a hard 180 degree turn to connect the board, which is not a good thing for this kind of ribbon cable, It also has no stress protection on the board side (it it taped on the back, but not on the front. This device is probably fine if you plan to put it in one place and leave it there, but if you are going to be moving it around at all, I would look elsewhere.
There is no correct documentation for this display. When you plug it into a raspberry pi 4b the resolution is 1920x1080 and is scaled to the display. All documentation on the uctronics github page lists the display as 1024x768 and the listed documentation fails to set the resolution of the display correctly. The touch screen is always off by about 4 centimeters below where your finger touches.
I took this item out of the box and tried to attach the feet and stand it up, and immediately one of the legs came apart. They are made two pieces of material joined at the bend with adhesive tape that just doesn't work. Altogether a poor quality item. I purchased a different screen for a very similar price and I'm very happy with it.
This monitor is terrible. It worked fine for the first week. Now I get 'No Signla' 90% of the time. Using it with my raspberry pi which works fine with all my other monitors. With this one I have to keep restarting over and over until it works. I would avoid purchasing this, it's a waste of money
