Loses brightness quickly

When I first installed them, I thought they were great. Nice and bright.

But after several dozen hours of operation, I realized that they lost brightness over time. I'd estimate that they are now only 70% as bright as they started out when first installed.

And I didnt realize it at first. I installed the first set and realized that they didnt seem as bright as they should be. So a year later I decided to add more to the project (from the original purchase). When I tested the new ones, they were significantly brighter than the installed ones. I assumed I had power supply or connectivity issues with the first install. Now 2 weeks after adding the new, brighter bulbs, they too are now as dim as the first ones I installed.

The wires connecting to the LED bulb are held by shrink tubing. They easily pull off the wire posts for the LED bulb. I'm going to have to figure out a way to make the wires stay on permanently, possibly using solder and new shrink tubing around it. The wires supplied with the bulb are incredibly thin. These bulbs would be so much better with better wiring! My advice would be to find another brand that doesn't skimp on the connections.

I installed the first light in an indicator panel to replace an existing light. It failed within minutes. Tried another of a different color with same results. After connecting the 3rd led, I felt the area where the resistor is covered by shrink tubing was too hot to touch. Voltage was just about 12.3 to 12.6v. That led failed soon after. Seller graciously refunded my money.

I wired these into low voltage landscape lights using a bridge rectifier to convert ac to dc but they have been in less than two months and some have already burned out. Voltage is exactly 12 volt dc checked with a fluke meter. So I can’t recommend these. Have other ones that are still burning after six years

Sadly, having to add the correct resisters to each bulb is tedious and costly. Your best bet is buy lights with resisters and save the hassles.
