This case is easy to setup up if you're a mind reader. You have to study the instructions photos carefully. Take you time and make sure you follow the steps. Every fits OK but there is one feature missing. You can't access the Micro SD slot. As anyone that has worked with a Raspberry Pi knows your need to update and upgrade your Pi. Once the case is all put together the SD slot is covered up. One way to make it easier to remove the Pi is to used standoff instead of the small nuts that they provide. The Camera should have had an adjustable panel so you can change the viewing angle. As is right now you have to move the whole case to point the camera.
Overall the case was not expensive ( on sale when I purchased it) It does the job of providing a safe mounting place for your touch screen.
the fan is garbage, will not fit a regular fan unit as it is too thick, you cant get access to the sim card, with out dissembling the unit. and the instruction are online and not that well described. no instruction
One of a few cases for a Raspberry PI 3 & 4 and the Official LCD Touch Display. Fairly easy to put together. Parts count seems higher than it needs to be. Once the Pi is installed in you cannot get to the flash card without removing the PI, so plan ahead.
The display could be permanently mounted to a surface, and comes with a pair of optional feet for additional mounting options. The Display is oddly non symmetrical, it is not centered to the bottom mount. The Pi is mounted on the very edge of the display, giving access to the network and USB connections, but those cables stick out from the display, detracting from the looks of an otherwise nice case.
Pros: Protects the PI and it's Touch display, holds an optional camera, is compatible with building Blocks :), lots of mounting options...
Minus. No access to the Pis flash card once installed, no way to hide USB and network cables. Nuts securing the PI to the case are frustrating, and difficult to install.
I purchased this stand to display a HamClock. It was pretty easy to assemble. I am using a model 3B+ but I also tested a 4 which would have worked also. I like the display can be tilted from vertical all the way back to horizontal and locked in place. I like that it includes a fan which is probably necessary for the RPi 4. I like the kit includes a power splitter so one supply can run both the Pi and the graphics card. All connectors on the Pi remain easily accessible except the flash card is hard to swap if needed without removing the Pi.
Easy to assemble and looks good. Fan is a plus. However, case must be disassembled to access MicroSD port. Worse, the Pi physically blocks the USB port on the touchscreen so there is no way to run a USB cable to the Pi for touchscreen functionality. I have searched for a USB cable that would fit, but there just isn’t room for a plug next to the Pi board.
