I would absolutely avoid this. This is just a thin cloth being sold for 15 bucks and not a proper mouse/keyboard pad. This doesn't even stay straight and you can see bulges through even after couple of days of using. Didn't expect this from prime item- can't even return it during the lockdown period.
The cheap, thin fabric is creased in transit and it is very difficult to get the creases out of. I still haven't managed after a week of trying a variety (from steaming it, to putting it in the sun, to stretching it out with books etc.)
Still a decent mousemat for the money, but if you're wondering why so cheap... there's your answer.
This is an affordable mousepad which is why I purchased it. Although it is affordable, it comes with a price. After using it for 3 weeks the folds are still present (as it was folded twice when it came in its packaging) and the pad doesn’t seem flatten out, which is very annoying.
I also think the anti slip Material used at the back of the mouse pad doesn’t function to expectation. I experience the mousepad moving around quite easily on my desk. I am using a generic ikea office desk and the the end of the day (finishing work) the mousepad is noticeably displaced from where I originally wanted it to be. Therefore the anti slip surface at the back of the pad could be improved.
The surface is nice for the mouse and it is a smooth experience. The material is quite comfortable so I think this is a plus. Lastly the material seems easy to clean (I use a damp cloth and wipe over it weekly).
In summary, pros cheap price + good surface material for sliding the mouse on. Cons need an improved anti slip material, the material doesn’t flatten out.
I don’t think people should buy this for aesthetics or gaming, first there is a massive hotspot where you connect the cable to power mousepad and second you can not remove the crease lines, this product does advertise that it is water resistant and easy to clean and I have tested it and it’s true, although you should just buy a steelseries qck mousepad.
this mouse mat will suit young people that have never done a days work with their hands. Every little rough patch on your skin will catch as you move your hand around, even using hand cream has not improved the situation. I am very disappointed with this product, even the stitching around the edge is only overlocking and is curling on a couple of corners while the mat has a tendency to ruck up,
Like the mat the problem is how it was packed it was folded and being rubber backed uneasy about using an iron to remove the creases. After a month had hoped mat would flatten but it hasn't have tried stretching and placing weights but unable to remove the folds.
It's a nice size. I didn't notice a smell like other reviewers, and mine wasn't creased at all. It looks pretty good. Just a bit thin. Almost no padding. Also, the edging was fraying in one spot upon arrival. But it does the job.
