To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Really liked the design of this mp3 player...screen quality is really good for the price...also had a decent response time after pressing screen. BUT battery is atrocious...lucky to get 2 hours use from battery. Also it has crashed 3 times forcing me to have to put a pin in hole to reset it. Will be returning for a refund.
So tired of buying crappy merchandise that quits working in short order. This product was not abused, never dropped, never exposed to fluids...just refuses to charge now. Who knows why? All I used it for was listening to MP3 songs. It has a lot of apps on it that I don't need, so seldom used them. Never used the ebook, video, etc. Just listened to music. Sound was good with ear buds. Volume dial was difficult to manage, but doable.
It wasn't perfect. Sometimes it was annoying. You couldn't really even start at Song One and just listen right through. And, everything was jumbled anyway. Couldn't straighten out the playlists once transferred. A-B button never worked or made sense. Okay. But, I never thought it would just decide to check out. I wasted $50 on this.
So, guess I'll try again. Feel bad about this. I needed this to stand in line. But, there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it.
For the price and considering the other reviews, I wasn't expecting much from this player.
But under 5 minutes? Barely enough time to set the clock and time zone. And then it died. Completely.
For those 5 precious minutes, it had very good display quality, and accessed about 40GB of MP4 files on a Micro SD card fairly quickly. Then the 5 minutes were up.
From my experience, and all the other reviews reporting display failures showing fractures, I suspect this device is using a very low cost, low quality, battery. To the manufacturer: spend an extra 50 cents on a better battery, and you might have a world-beater.
Back to Amazon this one goes. At least they are great about returns.
I've GOT to start trusting my instincts and pay a bit more for known name brand.... Whomever made this "mp3" player REALLY skimped out on just about every aspect of it. Let me phrase this properly with no room for mistake, this thing is JUNK and I'm sorry I bought it. First of all there's no processing power, meaning when trying to scroll through songs, an annoying lag makes it a chore...how hard can it be to get the ROM/RAM/CPU ratio up to par with the user interface?! Secondly, the logic of the OS(which I'm guessing was designed by the bidder underneath the lowest)is "bouncy"...meaning I choose one song, then try another and it often doesn't move to the next, and NO...it's not on shuffle when this happens. The design is very crackerjack prize like and the output is laughable... I didn't even want to TRY the video function after the very sub par audio. I think I'll see just how far away I can hit it from the next time I go to the range....or just give it to my 12 year old niece...wouldn't want to waste a bullet.
This is extremely cheep, I returned mine. The battery doesn't last very long And its hard to use. Its hard to see the screen. It will randomly shut down for no reason. Im not going to plug this into my expensive car stereo. Theres not too many settings. The only thing you can adjust is the timeout. Its also very complicated and hard to use, Theres just too many functions. They just jammed packed with bloatware. I can do better elsewhere. Im going to check another store so I can see it before I buy it. Im giving this thing every chance possible if something changes ill delete this comment. I just dont want to be messing with a crappy mp3 player when im driving
Horrible. In trying to make this seem like a smart phone in design they’ve created the most “buggy” software possible. No way to arrange by artists or albums. Only folder names. And each time you go back to the folder screen it starts at the top so you have to scroll through ALL folders again. Hopefully what you are looking for doesn’t start with the letter “Z”! Also you have to press several times before the screen realizes you are pressing it. And the strangest bug of all: When one song is playing and you go to another folder and press a different song all it does is restart the song currently playing!! You have to go back to folder view several times and come back before the new song will start. Please DO NOT buy this!!!!
I just got this gadget yesterday and I'm already disappointed. I need a player ( gadget) that could read PDF files , since Timmkoo claims it can read documents and e-books, I thought it would also read PDF files, but it doesn't , it only reads "text" files . Now, this just became a trashed gadget. So, if you need a player that reads PDF, this is NOT the player for you. ( or me )...
And I did. Until it stopped working two days later. The power button stopped working and couldn't turn it off or on. It only went off when the battery would die. I absolutely loved it the first couple of days when it was working. This was going to be my music player during the quarantine. I don't like to use my phone because it is a work phone. Now I'm stuck with no player, can't return as I can't make it to the UPS during this pandemic. So I guess I have a $50.00 paperweight or something.
I bought this thinking finally what I have been looking for. It has a pretty aesthetic but that’s about it. This is based on my own experience. After inserted the SD card and scanned folders and music my surprise was music plays in a delay. No matter what I do no changes. When I try to second track it took about 3 minutes to recognize that one track. In short, I am quite bored and dissatisfy with the product I went back to my old cell phone as an MP3 player. These don’t work or at least it didn’t for me.
This was my favorite mp3 player until recently. I got it 4 months ago, and a couple of days ago, the screen stopped responding to touch input. All the other buttons still work, it's just the screen that is broken. I say "just," but the screen is kinda important, it's how you control the device. This is a big fail on Timmkoo's side. I wish this hadn't happened, I really enjoyed using this device.... Timmkoo, please make this right!!!!
Timmkoo sent me a working replacement. Excellent customer service. I'm changing my review from 1 to 4 stars.
The replacement broke within a couple of weeks. I had it in my front pocket for a short time and when I pulled it out, the screen was totally damaged. There was little to no pressure on the device as I was just walking around upright. The screen might have had some preexisting problem but I don't know. My rating is going back down to one star unless Timkoo can really resolve this in a professional and timely manner.
