So I got this Bluetooth board and paired it with a lithium battery power board and some speakers. It wall went together really easy and the sound quality was pretty darn good for the price. But...
There is one thing about this board that really irks me that I just can't let go.
The Volume knob is also a switch. You'd think that switch would turn off the whole board...but it doesn't!!!
It may turn off the amplifier, but it doesn't turn off the Bluetooth radio. When you rotate it all the way off (you know it's 'off' when it clicks), the Bluetooth device is still on and connected to your phone or tablet or whatever.
During initial trials, we turned it all off and my son wanted to go back to watching YouTube on his tablet, but no sound came out. That's when we discovered that his tablet was till linked to this Bluetooth radio even though it was off.
I had to fully disconnect the power supply for the radio to turn off. So, in addition to having the knob as a switch, you need to install some kind of power switch to the input supply. Easy fix, but it sucked that we had to wait for another component (a switch I ordered) to come in before we completed the build.
Oh, one other thing. They supply a lexan plate to mount the amp to. but there's no excess around the board so that you can mount the board down to something. I guess you can glue it, but I wanted it vertical. It took some work to do that. The screw holes at the four corners are SUPER small. Why couldn't they be at least #4 screws, but they are more like #2's or something.
Oh, and one other thing. The length of the threaded portion of the volume potentiometer only allows for maybe 0.2" of thickness in material. That's OK for metal, but it gets really thin if you're working with plastics and wood.
Otherwise, this was a slick little device. About the smallest out there.
This amp provides amazing features at such a low price. The build quality is excellent with symmetrical layout of high quality components, perfect soldering without blistering the board, a cool black PCB that is clearly labeled, and included black acrylic case. With a higher voltage power adapter, this amp pushes great sound. Absolutely zero hum when connected via bluetooth 5.0 and the sound is pure. Very sturdy construction with robust speaker terminals, aux input, and volume knob. I definitely recommend this for any audio application! See the video to hear it in action. I compare it with the mp3 and the output of my hand built speakers.
I've only temporarily hooked this up to test and it worked/sounded great! NOTE: The Amazon description says to use a 2 amp or above power supply, so I ordered a 24v 2a power supply. The instructions that came with the device recommends a 5 amp power supply. When I tested this with the 2a supply I only had one 50w speaker connected and could only get to about 50% volume before the audio started to get distorted. I've now ordered a 5a power supply. I'll update this review if I have any issues once I really start to use it.
Pros: extremely well built. The two plastic covers look amazing and made of hard plastic very durable. The board components are set perfect. The new wire clips for speaker inputs are finally metal and not cheap plastic like the others. Comes with DC connection and screw driver, Bluetooth 5.0 works perfect. Good range, I've tested many so called 50x50 100w amps and I can tell you. They're all lieing after plugging this in you can tell right off the bat its truly 100w!
Cons: not many. The included screw driver only works for the tiny screws for the cover case. Won't work on the speaker input connections.

+++DAMGOO Bluetooth 5.0 Amplifier Board+++ I've had a set of old Radio Shack bookshelf speakers for many years that I could never toss. Without a built in amp they are just not much use these days but they are old school with heavy magnets and that "stay where you put them" feel. So, I ordered this little amp, assembled it, pulled a wall wart 12VDC 2A power supply out of the scrap pile and ta-da. I now have a nice set of Bluetooth speakers that work with my phone, computer and tablet. Minimal mechanical assembly skill is required and just basic wiring skill. If you need an inexpensive little amp, this is an excellent choice.
Edit 2/18/2020: Still in daily use and working well. Attaching copy of the user manual.

Break out those old bookshelf speakers

This has lots of hype surrounding it being an "expert build" but if you can assemble Ikea furniture, you can put this together. Assembly takes less than 5 minutes and the build quality is relatively solid for being an open air design. While I would highly recommend using a case (or 3D printing your own) to contain this thing, the built in assembly is structually sound enough. The design couldn't be simpler, with one large volume knob that turns it on and off, and turns up the sound. Pairing is easy, but I am not a fan of how easily accessible it is. Anyone walking by can latch on and blast their Nickleback, which is less than ideal...
I use it to drive two large JBL Reference speakers, and there is more than enough level to get them plenty loud enough. I am not driving it to insane levels, but loud enough to rock out when you want to.
I am a big fan of this little thing, and if I have need to install a tinyamp in the future, I'll be coming back to see what they got.
