I've been living with Razer Naga for 8 years now and I can't live without macro keys on my mouse. However most of the Macro mouses only available in wired option, well there was Naga Epic but it was sh*t anyway and can't say it's wireless while it had a big a** dock that you have to plug in. Enough prologue let's get into the mouse.
It's light, too light for my taste, even lighter than my Naga Trinity. I thought with battery it must be a bit heavy but not. No left and right scroll button. The side macro switches require too much effort to push, like 10 time firmer than my Naga. Let's say the clicky switches of the Naga is Cherry Blue, the Venus switches are like brown, clicky but linear. And the layout of it makes it really hard to press the correct button with your thumb knuckle. Mis-click is frequent.
Well it's the only true wireless macro mouse out there so I guess I'll have to suck it up and habituating myself.
I bought this mouse recently and the two complaints I have are the rough surface finish and the small thumb rest. The surface finish is very rough, like 230 grit sand paper, i found it unpleasant to touch. I thought I would get use to it over time but I did not so I got a sheet of 1200 grit sand paper and rubbed back the roughness of the plastic and it now feels much better and has a mat finish as if it was designed to be that way. I may even get some 2000 grit sand paper and rub it back some more. The other issue is that the thumb rest does not protrude out the side enough. The center of my thumb knuckle sits right on the edge of the rest. If it protruded out another 4 or 5 mm it would be fine.
Apart from those two issue I am happy with this mouse.
It's a very good affordable gaming mouse, but I was disappionted with the software. I'm just too used to automatic software profile detection with my logitech products and found I could not live without it.
Absolutely amazing, beat mouse I've had. You can choose to prolong its battery life by turning it on without LED. The macro options are a little difficult at first (for me at least) but definitely worth it. The side keys are probably my favourite part. Not at all difficult to configure and they're angled for an easy reach.
I ordered this product because of its customability, good reviews and RGB lights, and also because the price was very attractive for this category of device. I was genuinely surprise with its built quality, design and comfort. The device looks great, works well as intended and it's easy and a joy to use. Very satisfied, recommended.
