I'll start off by saying this is my first go with these types of toggle anchor so there could have been some user error involved. That said I had 3 of these break after I got them in the wall. The problem appears to be improper threading as I could get the thing in position but the screw wouldn't bite, the only option was to push and because the back is being held in place by a thin plastic clip the pressure pushed it off and dropped the back into the wall cavity. This was made more frustrating by the fact that I had to then loosen the other screws in order to get back in and put a new anchor in. It's a good thing these come in a 10 pack because its nearly a 50-50 failure rate. Plan accordingly.
So I bought these to secure towel bars in my house. My kids like to hang about 100 wet towels on them and naturally over time regular plastic anchors would start to pull out.
So after I tried the first two and broke them, I thought I bought a cheap inferior product. Instead I tried again with new ones. Key is to pull back slowly until it is snug. Man, once you get them in though and secure them with the screw, you realize just how great they are.
Could have been user error but 1 of them must have split. It wasn't so easy to take the faulty toggle out and try again, so I left the hung device the way it was 3/4 screws because the other 3 were so sturdy
