Each book in the 'The School for Good and Evil' is incredibly enticing and thrilling; 'One True King' is no exception. As the last successive member of the series and rightfully classified as the 'End of Ends', 'One True King' is intricately woven and wraps up the series justly. Sophie, Agatha and Tedros, along with their companions, go on a quest consisting of three trials in the attempt to outwit the Snake and for Tedros to reclaim his 'rightful' throne. The ups and downs of the novel are page-turning and the cliff-hangers after each chapter left me hanging for more. Definitely worth the buy and the absolutely stunning cover looks perfect on the bookshelf too!
I loved this book soooo much definitely one of my favourites! I loved the twists and turns and the secrets beyond secrets and the romance, death, and humour. I recommend this book to anyone! Looking back at the first book I say to myself, “How things have changed”. BEST BOOK EVER can’t wait till the movies!
This was such a Marvellous series so hard to put down Ioved all the humour and romance (SGE is definitely one of my favourite seriees) SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!! It was so sad when I thougt Hort died I'm so relived he's not dead finaly he and Sophie are together they are so cute together!! Also so glad Tedros is not dead I found it strange the way Tedros proposed through..... so much has changed since that graveyard. When Tedros' head got cut off I wanted to rip Japeth limb from limb I was so mad!! I really can't wait till SGE comes ot on Netfix I really hope that there will be another book it's a big ask for Soman though but it would be nice to have a book about maybe Agatha and Tedros' kids and Sophie and Horts kids (if they do have kids) Overall this has been a spectacular series loved it so much so grateful Soman!!!!!!!! :)
I have read this series the whole way through and I couldn't wait for this book to come out. There will be spoilers. The story was brilliant for the first 50%, with plenty of plot twists and for once a wonderful dialogue between Sophie and Agatha. The witches were brilliant, as were the rest of the squad and the girls, but then there was Tedros. Ugh. He was even more of the stereotypical blonde, muscular Prince Charming than usual, which was fine because Agatha was there to do everything better than him and there was no misogyny for a while until Agatha, surprise surprise, wins one of his princely challenges instead of him and from then on he treats her like a traditional, submissive princess and boy, does she act like one. Sophie falls for stupid Hort suddenly, what the hell, and loads of characters just pointlessly and suddenly die with no notice and hardly anyone even acknowledges them. I get some characters have to go, but really, it should at least be for a reason. Then, what begins to look like actually a good, plot twisty ending backfires and becomes the fairytale wedding happily ever after finish that I almost expected but thought that surely, due to the quality and twists in the previous books, the author would have another trick up his sleeve. Nope. If you are reading it I would highly suggest reading the first 90% and then just blissfully imagining what the ending should be. In summary, I think that Tedros is an unworthy king and a borimg character, and this book made it less about Sophie and Agatha and more about him. Both the girls end up in boring romantic happy endings with dull boys when I always felt they should have bigger destinies.
This series of books cannot compare it anything I'v read before. Probably because it was the first serues but that's beside the point. I truly loved this book and every other one. I can't thankm Soman enough for this series. Because thus book taught me how to see the world through evil and good's eyes. And for that I am grateful. I highly recommend this book and the series. Because this book taches you to look through the cracks. Think deper. Finaly rely one someone. Or fall in love :). However you infere this book is how much of and impact it has made on your life. I staarted this book at age 10 1/2 and finished it at 13 1/2 (my birthday us on the 8th of november). And u never regretted aa sijngle miment. I cried. laughed. dreamed. And longed for such a breathtaking experience in the basically 14 years if my life. Anyways this is becoming way too verbise but that's all I had to say. I hope you enjoy this while you can. P.s it's worth it ;)
This is by far the best book in the series. The complicated history of Rhian and Japeth is mind wowing reavealing the true king and Arthurs secrets. There were so many places were I was chewing my lip and clenching my fists in exitment sadness and anger. Sophie finds out her true love and changes complety. Like all the other books it is written in different perspectives including the storians. This book was just amazing! I aspire to be an actor one day and I hope they do an amazing job of the movies. I am wishing for a 7 book though. I LOVE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL !!!!
I was hooked on the school of good and evil ever since i read the first page of the first book. Every character has the most interesting personality and every time you think it cant get better you are proved wrong. Some nights i would stay up till 3 reading and wondering what will come next. Every character makes mistakes that reck their reputation and each and every character sacrifices something for others ( even Sophie). I told my friend about the books and soon it was all we could talk about. In this book EVERY secet is revealed. Also in this book hort gets his ever after, sophie gets her ever after and Agatha gets her ever after. The series ends on the BEST ending. And near to the end the story takes a turn. Highly recomend if you've read the other books. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE! Realy want to know who the cast will be.
This book was a bit of a disappointment. Unlike the other books there was not much action. I would say that it was very emotional and i found my self shocked and sad throught the book. Overall thjs book is worth your time only if you have read the whole series and have awaited the ending for years. Dont come to me if your dissapointed:)
This is my favourite book series in the world. So much can be said about it, and that’s what makes in so interesting. The countless plot twists, humour and gripping storyline really make this an amazing series. So you can keep your Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, because I love and will always love the School For Good And Evil.
