Just finished listening to his book audio from Audible. What a amazing book to listen. Collection of very interesting and valuable thoughts. Great mixture of Indian spirituality with western self-help. This book will inspire you to live very efficient but simple life. This book also teaches you how to become happy in life and models you in success. Highly recommended.
“I don't remember the last time I read something as good as your book. It make me think deep about everything about life. My words won't be enough.” This was more than enough for me to read for myself, for self growth. You taught me new ways to live life peacefuly and grateful for everything.
One was meant to be a gift and the other was to add to my personal library.
One of the books was is perfect condition. Cheers! 😁
The other copy, however, whilst the pages were in good condition, the exterior was already slightly damaged upon receiving. The cover was peeled and ripped and there was also a slightly gooey stain on the front. Currently, deciding upon whether to recycle the cover or return the book entirely.
Delivery was quick and efficient. Packaging was neat, tidy and undamaged upon delivery.
I personally started following Jay in his initial days, I had just lost my father and was going through a really hard time provided that I had clinical depression back then. I remember scrolling down the Facebook feed and finding his page as a suggestion was literally a blessing. Fast forwarding to now, in his book, her has covered three major aspects LET GO, GROW AND GIVE THE FIRST TWO ASPECTS INCLUDE 1. Identification of one's own self without the influence of outer noice 2. Overcoming fear and negativity through easy sets of daily exercises 3. Setting the right intention with a calm and composed mind so that one is able to find his purpose and commits to it THEN COMES THE LAST ONE (GIVE) This aspect throws light on the power of giving, gratitude and service. I love the quote he has mentioned, stated as "APPRECIATE EVERYTHING, EVEN THE ORDINARY, ESPECIALLY THE ORDINARY" JAY has always been an inspiration to youth, I'm 18 and I know such a depth of relationships and self compassion just because of the wisdom this book contains. I am healing my wounds, my relationship with people around me, this book with change your perspective and will move you in ways nothing can. PS :- I've rated it four stars because it's his book where he has compiled years of wisdom in one frame, but I personally feel he has so much more depth that is yet to spread.
I was just looking for a book that could open up my mind to the world of monks and if I could apply it to my daily life when I bought the book.
Glad to say, at the end of the book, I have actually learned to resolve conflict, become more empathetic and have also learned many skills to control anxiety and understand the root cause of negative emotions such as jealousy.
