To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I like the simple interface. There's no instructions but it works just like an old iPod, so you'll figure it out in seconds. I loaded it up with high-quality music and there's an option to add additional memory. A pair of pretty, white, Apple-like headphones are included but I didn't bother with them. I usually use Shure SE846s and BGVP DM6s so I tested with them. Both are famously good-sounding headphones with smooth frequency response and low distortion. They sound good, but this mp3 player did not. If anything, the high-quality headphones just emphasized its problems. Frequencies above 1 kHz are exaggerated, so everything sounds edgy and harsh. And there is NO BASS WHATSOEVER below 1 kHz, so you can't even hear drums or bass guitar. Male vocals sound oddly lifeless. No bass, no midbass, and exaggerated high frequencies make for a harsh, unpleasant listening experience, and I can't stand to listen to this player any further. It will be going back today!
Random play mode does not work! (and that's all I really needed it for) Every time you turn it off it just starts over from the first song and then the same one right after another. Using the folder option doesn't seem to work either, only recognized about 3 folders and just a few in them even though I had all sorts sorted by album
so cheap it does not work right, have to click it two times to do anything. The headphones did not work in both ears. I am only keeping it because it's not worth the cost to send it back. Save your money don't buy this!
We purchased these for our kids at a nonprofit residential facility and they would Mot work or hold music. Very disappointed. We had various new kids come in past the return date and when we went to put music on we can’t. Very unhappy
