This design seems like it would be innovative and set a new standard for the industry...or so I thought. I purchased two units and on day two, both locks began their hardship.
The trouble is with the reset mechanism, the lock shackle must be pressed down to clear the unit, but the reset margin is so small, there is no positive response feedback that "says hey I'm reset." Even with a positive reset, the lock is not reliable and very difficult to open.
I ended up cutting both locks off and going back to am old fashion key.
Nice attempt at a new design..Absolutely, but these locks will probably be taken off the market within years I predict, they fail practical use and everyday application IMO.
I bought two of these for my fence. I have had two of these locks that has worked beautifully over the span of 3-4 years. Well, I needed to replace them due to them getting old and worn out. I ordered two more and they got here today. Went through setting them up to my combination, they both worked a total of two times. Thank God I didn't put these on my fence yet after the first test of MY set combination. They are now useless hunks of metal that will not open at all. Do yourself a favor, and do not get these piece of sh** locks. I guess my first two from years ago were actually quality checked. Not anymore!
I really wanted this lock to be good but its simply inconsistent out of 10 reset and unlock tries this wouldn't work 6 times. This is super frustrating and there is no way to get around it. I thought the idea was great, but it just doesn't work well. Who has time to put in the combination 3-4 times before it works and ultimately a person can ruin the lock by moving the reset lever forcing you to have to get the lock cut. Avoid this lock.
This is a nice lock but the combo dial and shackle have to be in the perfect position to function. If you pull down on the shackle and move the combo dial to the center position it works well. Don't get frustrated take your time and find the sweet spot for operation. Once you get the feel it works every time.
This lock is sturdy as any lock available and so much easier and quicker to open. There's no stop at this number then go to the 2nd number but make sure you pass the 1st number.... it's as easy as ➡️⬇️⬆️➡️ I don't think anyone could open a dial lock as quickly as this one. And you can reset it to whatever sequence and direction you want.
