I had ordered these cameras for the perimeter of my home, and a number of less-expensive dome cameras for the interior. One by one, two by two, I have been replacing the less expensive domes with these quality units. The camera housing and mounts are metal, so shielded from electro-magnetic interference, within reason. The IR illuminator LEDs are strong, but......"intelligent." With bullet cameras, there is a "beam" of infrared energy which seems to be focused, thereby giving hot-spots. These cameras have not only a very wide focal angle, but the IR is not focused, but well dispersed: no hot-spots. Used with a quality monitor or HD tv, there is a world of difference between these units and most other consumer-related dome or bullet cameras: image definition. You will instantly recognize the difference in image quality. In addition, the IR photosensor which turns-on the IR, is not as sensitive as other cameras I've had.....I installed one of these ProHDs in our den, and the lighting has to really dim, to activate the IR. The result of this, is that the image is shown in color, and that coloration is truly spectacular and defined. In IR, the B & W image is crisp and clean. Don't waist your money on lower-priced cameras; invest in quality.
Great camera. Picture is good. It has great sound, can hear everything! I like the wide range it captures. We have stuck with this brand of cameras and have always been happy with them and the support.
It is a true 4k camera , I updated my DVR to an amecrest cvi 4k model because I did not wish to rewire my cctv setup due to wiring being built into house framing.the quality however is sub par for 4k , I get better quality from my amcrest ptz 4k over wifi. But as an upgrade to 1080p over rg59 cable but don't expect true 4k quality. Also there is no fine thing via software or physical focus knob
On the whole the Amcrest unit is well designed and incredibly simple to install. Only downside is due to compression doesn’t have as much detail as other brands a simple firmware update could be written to address this. Otherwise I have found these units to be great overall.
I installed camera and it’s 4K works but for some reason the camera only plays and records at 7FPS when it claims on here that it suppose to be 15fps when recording at 4K. If someone can tell me why this camera can’t do better I would love to know
